Getting Granderson was a shrewd move. Coke and Kennedy are decent but replacable. Jackson was hyped but needs more experience. Granderson will be an all star in pinstripes.
An excellent trade.

I'm not quite as excited about it, but I do like it.  Jackson was only 22 and all i've heard was how great of a prospect he was.  However, when compared to a proven commodity like Granderson...well there is no comparison.  Kennedy I think is a real talent.  I saw it when he first was called up three years ago, and even in his brief appearance last season.  He's just young and needed some seasoning but he can definitely become a solid if not great starter for somebody in the future.  Coke I could really care less about.  Hes good, but as you say replaceable.  If Marte can replicate his post-season for an entire regular season then Coke really wasn't much to lose at all.  I just don't know if giving up your best prospect for a CF who can't hit lefties was the shrewdest of moves but I guess we will see.  I'm certainly not upset to have a 30-20 guy like Granderson on the team I'll tell you that much.

Look it's tough to argue with success. However I'd like to see them hold onto a supposed phenom. Would be nice to find the next Bernie or even better. The core four are getting up there, and it could be the core three this year. They need to develop a new homegrown core to continue the dynasty.

The rap on Jackson is that he strikes out far too much... and that is against minor league pitching.  The Yanks decided that he would be too much of a "swing and miss" type of player.  So I can see making this move.

I have a feeling they are  not done yet as far as the outfield occurs.
