I hate the guy, but he still has some time left to become the guy many thought he would.  He finally understands that he can't just skate along on his physical talents.  Let's see if he backs up his words.

SHOCKING!  crazy

Living here in Atlanta, I can tell you that "Mike" was really caught up in the "hip hop" culture down here, and he was reveared in the community.

No one could tell him anything. In fact, for the LONGEST time he refused to grant an interview to the first African American sports talk show "The 2 Live Stews" here in Atlanta, even though they kissed his @ss on a daily.

He was famous for being the last one to practice (and camp), and the first one to leave.

To guys like us, who see that kind of taklent wasted by a lack of understanding and discipline to become the BEST is tragic. Because we see the loss. Guys like him, don't see it until it's too late (or sometimes never). Sure, he can be REALLY good again. But now, his work ethic will only make up for the burst he lost during his time in prison.

Imagine if he had both?  That's the tragedy, IMO.

I couldn't look into my labs eye without wishing nothing but the worst for Vick, I wanted him banned for life. With that said I can see him signing with the Rams and playing very well.

Vick has become an anti-hero to many disturbed individuals around the country. What he did to helpless animals will forever keep him in my doghouse. Just lazy? How about being a scumbag? Completely cruel and uncaring, as well? Where are those PETA spots with him? Where is his charity work on behalf of rescued animals? I haven't seen it and would like to know. The less of Vick I hear of, the better.

Spider, I completely agree. Some people may be able to forgive Vick for what he did, but I'm not one of them. Being a dog lover, it really makes me sick just knowing what Vick did to those pit bulls. And he acted as if he didn't know it was a wrong thing to do. The guy is scum and admitting he was lazy in Atlanta just further verifies it when those fans (one of my brothers included) thought very highly of him. He's a punk.

While that may be true, it also is a bit self-serving. He's about selling the idea to anyone interested that they'll be getting a new and improved Mike Vick. There might even be a little something to it, but that's the message behind the confession, I'd say.

Cheers!

Being an old man now, and having seen too many con artists in my 70+ years, I wouldn't take him on his word. And I don't think he would like the terms of my contract offer either. Second chance, yes. Trust him on his words alone? doh!

I with ya terry....except, if I'm to be honest (in my best Simon Cowell imitation), I used to wish the same fate on Ray Lewis for a few years there from 2000 on.

He's too stupid to be any better than he is.
