Our library, like our schools, has been close this week, so no new movies. So I went to the cable stations and got to see a couple that I might have seen before, but basically had no memory of them.
"Reservoir Dogs", a Quentin Tarantino film starring Harvey Keitel. For some reason, I could have sworn I saw this movie, but watching it, it was all new to me. Overall, it was a typical Tarantino movie, lots of blood and killings, but a weird but decent story. About a jewelry heist that sort of went wrong, told thru flashbacks. I found it quite interesting, just a bit disappointed at the ending. If you are into things like this, a good watch. Plus, how can you go wrong with Harvey Keitel?
Next was "12 Monkeys" with Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt. Again, I could have sworn I saw this movie, but it was all new to me. This movie was decent, but a bit confusing, no, a lot confusing. It's sort of about a guy from the future going back in time to get info on a plague that wiped out most of the human population. He wasn't trying to stop it, just get info on it (I think). I really thought I was going to enjoy this one more than I did. It was OK, just very confusing.
Both movies, definitely not for kids of any ages.
