Funny...sounds like the same prediction they had last year...and we got nothing.  How is it that the no.1 hurricane expert is based in Colorado.  And by the way Weeze there is an alternative it's called a MIATA!

Miatas see my exhaust. Spyder is the only substitute. It has drawn me hooting into Club Permagrin!"

Not at Mazda Raceway, almost a second slower.

"At Mazda Raceway, the 911 Turbo wasn’t as fast as the Vette"

Different rides, still the battle goes on.

er...ahem...oops. a... the stats...the envelope please!
 24 hours of Le Mans
number of victories
Porsche 16
shevy 0
most consecutive wins, der beep beepin krauteervaggon with 7

12 hours of sebring
der porsche amazin non oilensputtin 18 wins
drove his chevy to the levy and the levy was dry 0 wins

24 hrs of Daytona
Das hottenbreathin nonwatercoolin rear powereinderbuttin german blackenforrestlivin porsche 22 wins
AND shevy shevette 1 !!!!!   mustve been a bad year for the deutsche mark!

by the way, this year in american Le mans series racing, the corvettes have been knocked down into the same class as porsche. with non turbos only. the corvette has been granted a large weight reduction whereas the porsche gt 2 and 3r models have not. weight really has never been the issue as their cars are quite light. corvette has also been granted some engine mods that greatly sway the favorite vote toward corvette. look for johnny o'connell to be odds on favorite to win the series and flying lizard racing and the other teams scrambling to try and stay competitive with their P-cars. the new vettes are supposed to be super tricked out. previously the vettes ran in gt2 unopposed as the aston martins dropped out.

dont know how much sports car racing you watch but if interested watch out for the  "American LeMans " series on speedvision and the likes of espn. as a vette owner you should have a lot to cheer for.

http://www.corvetteracing.com/

Corvette Racing has scored six wins in the GTS/GT1 class at Le Mans since 2001, including a victory in last year's race. The GT2 version of the Corvette C6.R, which is based on the production Corvette ZR1, made its competition debut in August 2009, competing in five American Le Mans Series events and scoring the team's first GT2 win at Mosport International Raceway. The list of invitees in the GT2 class for Le Mans includes two Corvettes C6.Rs, five Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs, two BMW M3s, a Jaguar XKRS, five Ferrari 430 GTs, an Aston Martin Vantage, and a Spyker C8.

Thanks for the heads up.
