Don't believe the Weezer. I got it straight from the Java man, that Weeze was just too cheap to buy a TV, so they still listened to everything on the radio.

He still refuses to buy anything made by the Japanese, so he is still using that old black and white Philco

M<y favorite show from the radio was 'You Bet Your Life' with the one, the only, Groucho. When he moved it to TV, it was still the best.

it must be that sirius doesnt have the rights to that because its not on.
because of my back i dont get to do the driving i used to do. ive driven across the us 3 times and one of my favorite things to do is just to jump in the car and ride. sirius is GREAT for that! your cruising along with the ole top down and on comes sgt preston of the yukon.
i miss being able to do that.

When I'm driving along the US with the top down, I always have my fav Roy Orbison on the 8 track.

Nothing like pulling up at some stop light and having Roy singing old Dream Baby and having these young uns giving this 'old' guy the look of 'What's he been smoking??'  I just love it.

Ah, Len---  Roy Orbison, my alltime favorite. This one has special meaning to me. It always seemed to be played when I was driving to or from the hospital to see my wife, which was for many months at many different times. This one kept me going and gave me hope. Thank you Roy for helping me cope with a terminal illness.

For those who enjoy the Black and White Roy Orbison vid,  the guy in the white jacket to Roy's right is James Burton.  He is one of the finest guitar players ever.  He was Ricky Nelson's lead man for years.  Lived with the Nelson's and played on most all of Ricky's songs.  Later he was the lead man for Elvis Presley right up to Elvis died.  He has played with several others including John Denver and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Here is him in studio with Ricky's sons.  Hope you enjoy.

Bill'
That was awesome! I've heard his name mentioned many times here Sunday mornings from 7-10 AM on my oldies station WOGL 98.1 on the dial for the weekly Elvis and Friends show. Check them out on the net if you get the chance. James Burton was (and still is from your video) great!

Dale,   Here is Burton on the Pretty Woman track.  At about 5 minutes in Springsteen just stops to watch.

 Great stuff guys.

Ricky's son sounds exactly like him.

And that Roy Orbison special, Black and White, was maybe the best thing ever put on PBS. I have it on tape, on DVD and still watch it every time it is on.
