PSU, u may have forgotten bout Boley's FA contract, five years $25 million? That sounds like it qualifies as a move for an actual high quality LB to me. & Boley was enjoyin' his best year as a Giant by far, until the hammy. Since his arrival, he's been callin' the D's signals durin' games missed by MIKE's AP & Goff. Currently, he's still not 100%. But I think it prudent to expect him to be on his game for Green.

With the NFL gone pass-happy. The Nickel is more prevalent than ever. A dedicated SAM with our D scheme, is approchin' the status of a ST's/Backup Player. As is, a SAM on our Team may c a dozen or so snaps. I believe if Goff returns to form, it will be he & Boley that will c the lion's share our LB snaps next season. Thinkin' their backups would be, Williams & Herzey.

In a 4 - 3 D, a three down MIKE is tough to come by. How many Urlacher's r there out there? It's just a real tough fit to find a MIKE that excels @ BOTH run & pass LB play. It's become more difficult as of late with these incredibly gifted TE's that r much larger than a LB & just as fast, or faster. I totally believe our emphasis for the Draft & FA after the OL, is S. A physical playmaking SS is worth his weight in gold to us. The jury is still out on Sash, he may be a Player? This highly sought after SS acquisition should be followed by a legit sure tackling ball hawk FS. Our way overrated/underachieving Starting S Play has done more damage to our D, than the backup LB's have. @ least the Backup LB's r loggin' valuable Playing experience, to allow for improved Play next year. Rolle, KP, & Grant can make no such claim, they all need to go asap.

I would vote no.

Once again, this year, the LB unit is weak in the Draft.  As a matter of fact, it has been weak for quite a while now.  The Giants have invested in their DL and have an abundance of DEs and DTs (assuming Austin returns healthy).

I just don't see the Giants switching, especially with their Roster as currently constituted.
