2 drives, 2 mental mistakes
« on: December 24, 2011, 01:13:22 PM »
3rd and 11 becomes 3rd and 16 because of delay of game, we gain 11 yards on 3rd down.

Defensive first series, Jets go for it on 4th and 3, instead of an incompletion it becomes a firth down.

This team doesn't deserve the playoffs when you come out like that.

Couldn't agree more. What a joke this team has become. I've never been so tempted to turn a game off in the first quarter.

St"s and the fact we can't get a play off on time rear their ugly heads again

It's sad when a team isn't afraid to go for it on 4th...   I know it's Xmas but can we stop giving the JETS gifts...  Why the the hell are we trying to run so much?  We're 32nd for a reason.
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. He dropped into coverage in a zone blitz in which the blitzer Boley made Sanchez throw the ball early.  That play and what it was designed to do worked.

Rubbish lethargic start.   Looks like a bunch of guys looking forward to the sun and another looong day ahead for the people who pay their salaries.

Is it the players fault or the coordinators fault that the Giants players are running around confused, good question. 12 men on field and delay of game, more to come I'm sure.

Rambo-Even though the play worked, it is still a head scratcher for me to have your best pass rusher drop into coverage. /??? /??? /???

Not a head scratcher.  The play worked.

Rambo, even at times the blind squirrel finds the nut. Any play that has jpp back in coverage instead of chasing down the qb is a bad play

Steve, the guy that came in on Sanchez that JPP replaced got to the QB.  The play worked, end of story.

Rambo, if we throw a 3 yard pass on 3rd and 15 and the receiver miraculously turns it into a 20 yard play I guess you could say the play worked. Its still a bad play you got lucky on. Same thing here. I'd rather have boley playing the pass which he does better than jpp and jpp playing the sackmaster which he does best instead of what they did. We lucked out. Thats all

Boley can't play the pass he's awful.  His game is being a pass rusher.  What that play was designed to do which was get pressure with the blitzer which the blitzer did forcing the QB to throw the ball early.  Again it did just that.  The play worked.  Not luck it did what it was designed to do.  No luck, just execution.

Giants ran plenty of zone blitzes when "God" aka Spags was running the defense.
