the last time he practiced , he took one snap and then went to the bike

i'd like to think he isn't faking this injury....but i don't.....when he left the field the last time, to go to the locker room, it didn't even look like he was limping at all

i think this is all part of his revenge for not getting his contract re-done.....and i think he sees the writing on the wall, as far as big dollar contracts go, with the emergence of JPP so if we make the playoffs he will miraculously appear healthy again and contribute during the post season

i'd like to be able to think differently about osi but his actions have left a bad taste in my mouth and as good as he can be i think we are better off without him....JR should have taken the 2nd imo.....go Giants!!!!!

the excercise bike will miss his ass...

if he has a big game against the boys and has any presence at all in the PS he will up his worth for next season. No one is going to pay him being a year older and coming off another injury

the football equivalent of stealing a round in boxing with a late flurry.

Walking without a limp and battling 350lb OL 50 snaps a game are two entirely different things. Not to mention speed is his game. Even a minor injury, which this is not, can relegate him useless if it slows him down at all. It's interesting how many fans assume he's a money grubbing selfish jerk yet the best thing he could do to get money next year is play! How can anybody justify paying him now after playing 8 games? Sitting out while healthy is doing nothing to benefit his stance. Could it be he's actually just injured? Osi has never done anything to let his teammates down. He said flat out he came to play this year for that very reason. You may not like his methods or his opinion of
his value in the NFL but he hasn't done anything to warrant his integrity be called into question like this. I hope he's healthy enough to play and gets 5 sacks. And if he does I'll look forward to all the posts saying "yea but that LT isn't even good"

My sense with Osi is that he simply refuses to play unless he is 100% healthy.   It's his way of sticking it to the Giants for what he perceives as slights against him for not redoing his contract.  Of course at this point in time I can't see how the Giants can send JPP to the bench, the guy is a Pro Bowler and DPOW 2 out of the last 3 weeks.  So now Osi can be the relief man.

Osi has too much to lose by being hurt and missing games for me to believe he is faking it.

If he doesn't practice Thursday Coughlin won't let him play. The fact that he hasn't practiced yet says it all - his foot isn't progressing. Don't expect to see him on Sunday.

Plus 1 MG. At this point when and if he returns osi is a situational pass rusher only. JPP is not seeing the bench for the rest of his career

In view of the negative comments about Osi, how do you explain TC saying he's "working his tail off"? Is TC stupid, naive, covering for Osi?
I tend to think TC is smarter than that to be conned by a player.

i still think if an ankle injury is enough to keep him off the field for a month then he most certainly would have been limping badly when the injury occurred..and when he went off the field you couldn't see him limp ...

i like osi , when he is playing, but i still think he is milking this and i won't be sad to see him gone....i still think JR should have taken the 2nd for him....go Giants!!!!!

"working his tail off" doing what?....riding the bike

imo tom isn't the type to throw someone under the bus , even if he thought that way..he was asked about osi and he gave a PC response.....i wouldn't expect anything less from him....go Giants!!!!!

I share your view of it, Rambo. But Osi's has become too juicy a target for his critics for them to even want to see it as you do. And Tuck isn't far from their crosshairs either. Some things never change; if you are meanspirited, you just are, I guess.

Cheers!

The difference between Osi and Tuck to me is simple.

Tuck is hurt and he is getting out on the field and giving what he has to give every week at the expense of his personal numbers. Tuck @ 75% is still better than the next guy up at 100%. Especially with Osi out.

and while all you guys want to blame it on our "mean spiritedness" can you honestly say that this is the first time you ever saw a professional athelete, especially in the NY market, shut it down after expressing displeasure with his contract?

Osi has less to lose by sitting out than he does by playing. He plays with his injury and his numbers wane. He got little interest when they gave him the right to shop his services last year. His best shot at a big contract is for someone to take a chance on his potential.

he has a pretty good sack/games played ratio and sitting out some games doesn't really hurt him at all if he comes back this weekend to show he is once again healthy

like i said above, i wished i didn't feel this way about osi....but i do....go Giants!!!!!

ps....painter, sorry for being meanspirited this time of year   cheers
