Of most concern to me on the practice report is Bradshaw and Nicks.

Putting Osi in there, at certain times can help the team, but only if we do not diminish the effectiveness of JPP. JPP has earned the right to be in there, at HIS PEFFERRED position, because he has shown he can do things Osi simply cannot.
Would we have moved LT inside for ANY reason???. You have to play your best guys, at their best positions. If guys need a break fine, but if Fewell moves JPP inside to accommodate Osi, even for ONE damn play, he should be fired immediately.

And, while it may not be any sort of conspiracy, but since this game is paramount to a playoff game, all of a sudden Osi is 100% ready to play.

Lenn:

When Osi was healthy and on the field, Fewell moved JPP inside for several games.  His effectiveness was diminished.  So, to me, losing Osi was actually a blessing in disguise.  I just don't see how this situation can be good for the Giants.

Umenyiora said he wouldn't come back if he wasn't ready. He also said that Jason Pierre-Paul "deserves to start, no question about it." #NYG

Yes, that was the entire point. JPP basically disappeared when we moved him inside. He had, what, 11 1/2 sacks before they moved him, and maybe one while he played inside. it would be a crime to put him where he cannot be the force he needs to be.
I hate to include the word NASTY, but that is part of being a winning football team.

Funny you should say that Len.   LT was forced to play ILB when Harry Cason was hurt in the 1983 season.    ;)

As for the discussion, I think there are two separate issues being blurred together.   The first is accusations that Osi is dogging it with the injuries.  On that front there is no way to no, but all appearances indicate that he is.

The second issue is should Osi play?   I think most people here would let him play.  The real debate is where and when would he play.

Ah, But how did LT do when we played inside??> I remember him moving over, but how he did escapes me. I'm sure he just couldn't be the same force as he was on the outside, but I am not sure.

Moving to the inside took away what made him a special LB

IMO I think Osi should play only to give JPP a break to keep him fresh, Osi probably isn't ready to take a lot of snaps anyway. They say a player doesn't lose his job because of injury and when he's ready he gets his job back, I don't believe that for a second, Osi has lost his starting job to JPP plain and simple....

Correct. He only played great at ILB as opposed to Super-Human.   ;)

I think that this is the best use of both...JPP starts and Osi gives him a rest. The tackle gets worn out by them.

One has to question whether or not TC is prudent and efficient as to JPP starting or Osi Starting.
I really hope TC does not come up short on this one because if there is a single Big Blue Defensive player The Boys have to worry about it is JPP.

However, TC is one of those loyalty nuts and his perception diminishes when loyalty comes into play.

I know the boys are hoping to see JPP in reserve role or inside at tackle where his ability to get to Romo is lessened.

I think if Osi can go he will get some snaps. JPP had 100 snaps against the Jets. That is a lot of work for any D-lineman. I find it hard to believe the Giants wouldn't be better served with him getting more like 80 snaps and OSi getting 20 snaps if he can handle that.

After all, we want JPP to have fresh legs when Dallas attemts their last FG, right?  ;)

With Romos injured hand and Osi's ability to swat the ball out of a QBs hand, he can be a real factor in this game.
