1st down on the 2 minute drive...
« on: January 08, 2012, 02:26:06 PM »
What was that about?   Clearly a 1st down... at least ask for a spot.
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! - Rocky Balboa

Terrible communication by Eli and the sideline on that one. No need to rush. Get a measurement. And then run the damn ball.

Bizarre to say the least. Horrible spot to begin with but then the Giants kill themselves by not giving the booth time to review the spot by rushing the next play. It's not like they were at midfield with a minute on the clock and two time outs. Then on third and an inch they throw the ball. A qb sneak on third easily gets you a first and a new set of downs. Stupid all around.

Every week, somebody says adamantly that referees cannot change a game. In this game, as well as last night's game, a brutal officiating error changed the game.

Sigh.
