Boooooooooo!
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! - Rocky Balboa

reaction-  slight disappointment, but I doubt his addition will be a game changer

Eagles had a top ten defense this year.  Doubt he makes that much of a difference.  My hope is that Andy Reid is fired and he takes over.  The Eagles having a poor Head Coach would be good for the Giants.

Spags was a key component of the '07 season, but does that mean he could do it again?   Love the guy for his contribution to our heroes but, I'm kinda embarrassed to say, I hope that he fails with Philthy if that is indeed where he ends up.

I was glad to have him and pleased with the way he got the defense to play during the playoffs.

Where ever he goes so be it, the lore of his achievements have grown well beyond the reality of them though.

Mixed feelings. He certainly deserves a job somewhere, and Philly is the logical place to land.

Reports are now saying that this is NOT imminent and that Andy Reid is actually on vacation this week.

I have been a strong supporter of bringing Spags back here but after watching our defense these last few games it shows me that Fewell knows what to do and is doing it now, what bothers me is what took him so long to figure it out, is the addition of Blackburn and Osi that much of a game changer..

I have a hard time believing that all of a sudden Perry Fewell became smart and now knows what to do.   Every team has stretches where things go right and things go wrong in certain units.  Blackburn and Osi's contributions have been minimal.

Instead, I would suggest that the defensive line has been dominating their opponents.  If/when that is neutralized, than I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised to see Aaron Rodgers hang 40 on the Giants.

A few games where the defense plays good is hardly an indication that they are now a top notch D.

Let's get serious here. If we were starting a team tomorrow and had a choice for DC between Fewell and Spags, whom would YOU pick???

Did Fewell just wake up from a Rip Van Winkle sleep by the 14 game of the season. Up until that point he has been cutting plenty of ZZZZ's because our defense stunk. Now, we bring in a couch potato to play LB and our defense takes off. If Fewell thought this was the problem, why didn't he petition TC and Reese for some needed help at MLB??
I am glad we are winning but it did save Fewell's job, and that is just not a good thing.
I hate to include the word NASTY, but that is part of being a winning football team.

See and I have a hard time believing that a guy known as a good defensive coach who made us a top ten defense last year all of a sudden got stupid.  But I'm sure our decline had nothing to do with the injuries that wracked us.  Especially since we have gotten some (not all) of the injured guys back and our defense has not improved at all.  </sarcasm>

right now I think Blackburn is the steadiest MLB we've had all season, I don't like Osi but you have to give the devil his due because he can get after the QB and right now we're better with him than without him...
