Its been another amazing post season run!  Last time we were facing the greatest offense ever and 18 and 0. This will be a tough game, but no more so than the last two opponents, plus we beat them earlier this year.  Should be a great game!  Gotta say now, they have to chip Ghram at the line, like they did Finley. Davis scored both touchdowns when he wasn't chipped at the line according to Garafolo.

I'm concerned about this game.  The fact that we beat them in regular season is counter to our games against the Pack & Niners.  But, we've already beaten the BEST O in the league AND the BEST D in the league, so we should be VERY competitive.  It should be a terrific game.

I'm not as nervous about this game as I was with the previous two games. Against the Packers, we were facing a tough offense with many weapons. No one knew how our defense would fare. The opposite was true with the 49ers. They have a stout defense that was capable of shutting down our offense, but they don't have much of an offense.

The Pats don't match up well against us on either side of the ball. Tom can be rattled and he can be frustrated. Their secondary is at the bottom of the league and has to cover a trio of all-pro receivers and a solid threat at TE.

While Gronk and Gonzalez are huge and Branch can still be a threat, I don't see Tom having much time to find them. Fewell seems to have corrected the issues that have plagued the defense a good part of the year. Whatever he did, I hope he continues to do it. Just need to tighten some things up and not let receivers get behind them like Vernon Davis did.

I was really hoping for Baltimore to win.  The last person I want to face in the SB is Tom Brady.  The same Tom Brady who's been thinking about how the Giants ruined his perfect season for the last 4 years.  Going to bed thinking about that for 4 years.  He was probably rooting for the Giants to win, so he could somehow vindicate himself.

That said, on paper we should beat them...much better defense, 3 WRs, that the SF 49ers DB couldn't cover (much less the Pats DBs), and a line that should win the battle of the LOS on both sides of the ball...that said, Brady is going to laser focused & working on all cylinders.

Giants 27 - Pats 24...Tynes FG wins it in the last seconds.
Cruz will be HUGE in this game, Ballard will hurt them too, & BJ decides to show up & batter some Pats.  Eli will go over 300 & 2 TDs.  Running game gets one too.

After thinking about it some more...I think (O.K. maybe it is really "hope") the Giants are going explode in this game & it will be a blowout.  In fact, I believe that this will begin a run for us that will continue into next year where the "Dynasty" chats will begin...  They may very well be 10 &1 again, but this time w/o Plexico to shoot himself...and we actually make the playoffs again but as the favorite.

I don't see how the makeshift Pats secondary can stop the Giants passing game.  Neither Nicks nor Bradshaw played that day, so this is an extremely potent offense going against the likes of Julian Edelman at corner.  They should score 2 out of 3 possessions.  The Giants defense will take care of business. Whether they shut them down or just slow them down, they will control the Pats offense. This looks to be a lopsided outcome from where I sit.

I learned my lesson predicting a blow-out of the Niners.  I'll take any kind if win.

The Giants played in bad weather for the past two weeks, very cold followed by very wet/windy.  I think the indoor conditions favor the Giants.  Our offensive weapons are WRs while the Pats have TEs.  Our speed won't be slowed by cold/wet ball and field.  Their TEs won't be helped as much by the fast conditions.

No, I hear you -- I was envisioning 21-3 (well, I was close with the 21).  But that was more that the Niners scored two Davis TDs I did not see coming -- I knew the SF Defense was too good to hang 30-40 points on.  With the Pats, I will give them their scores and give them their yardage.  But I still don't see how they can keep up with the Giants offense, not because they're the Saints, but because the Pats defense is just that bad.

As long as Bass, Snee, and Boothe can stop Vince Wilfork, we should be able to score almost at will. However, with Gronkowski, Welker, and Hernandez, and Brady getting the ball out ASAP, the Pats can as well. It'll be a shootout.

I feel pretty decent about how we match up with the Pats.  I throw the regular season game out the window, we are both vastly different teams than Week 9, it's not like 07 where it was only a month before the Superbowl we had taken them on.  We just took on and defeated the 4th best defense in the league, on the road.  9ers apologists are all over the place but we didn't play our best and still came out with a win against a 9ers team who played the best game they could.  Turnovers happen, Kyle Williams gift wrapped one turnover but the other was forced.  I don't think it takes anything away from the Giants performance.  The Patriots, meanwhile, struggled against the Ravens, at home, and needed the opposing kicker to miss a chipshot to prevent over-time.  So what's the difference, since both teams got a bit of luck and won despite not playing their "A" game?  The Patriots were at home.  The Giants were on the road.  Playing at a neutral site has to mean something.

A fast track neutral site?  With the trio of Nicks, Manningham and Cruz against a Pats team that doesn't have a burner on their roster?

I'm sure Pats fans would have taken the Niners in a heartbeat.
