 Don't feel bad Jim, we have Cablevision and we will not get the NFL network anytime soon. I continually write to Cablevision requesting they put it on their schedule, but it will never happen. from what I hear, Dolan, who owns Cablevision wants it as a premium station and not give it to the public for free.
 But besides a couple of decent games, most of their schedule is enough to make one watch reruns of Lassie. We, in the NY market, will always get any Giants games that happen to fall on Thursday nite, as per NFL laws.

Betcha advertising pricing on the NFL channel on Thursday nights just quadrupled. And that's the only reason they are doing this. It's a way for them to cut out the middle man (NBC,CBS,ABC,FOX) and get cash from Pepsi, Coke, Chevy and Ford directly.

Cablevision refuses to add NFL Network as a basic cable channel and the NFL does not want it as a premium channel, so the sides have been in a deadlock for years.

I like the NFL Network...some hosts are weak and not very polished...but the draft stuff and all if preferable to me over ESPN by a wide margin...

Ahhh, the move to Colorado looks even better now. Game times will be 2 hours earlier than they are now...suck it up Weeze and Drake!
