The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. Some times I wonder how great Brady is. You can't tell with all these talking heads insisting that he walks on water. Seriously, that was the "best" drive in Super Bowl history? Other than distance what made it so spectacular. It was death by 1000 paper cuts. Little dinks and dunks all the way down the field. He didn't make one outstanding throw in that drive but at the end Collingsworth was slobbering all over how super awesome Tommy is.

You must be joking.  Collinsworth has been talking up the Giants most of the first half. Where do you get this stuff from? C'mon. We watching and listening too, you know.

Cheers!

Apparently the batteries on your hearing aid died on that last drive. What was a nice drive was instantly transformed into one of the best drives in super bowl history. His words, not mine.

Over the top admittedly on that last drive, but to be fair Collingsworth has been talking up Our Heroes too, slobbering (rightly) over the beast that is JP-P when he made good plays and criticised him on that last one.

Don't you think there been enough of the "Too many are picking the Giants" whining today to now go back to the old, "We don't get no respect" act which usually dominates around here?  I don't know that I ever seen more thumb sucking than I have here lately. And just think you don't have Joe Buck to whine about. The whole act is stale and predictable whether you like it or not. You want to complain; complain about the lack of a pass rush. If they don't get one, there will be more reason for Brady praise.

Cheers!

You're right,   Pass Rush is non existent.   I guess CC has nothing else to talk about..  I'm just pissed.  As I type this another TD just happened.  Awesome.   I blame Madonna too :)

That's it. No pressure, no win.  It's not too late.  Even a coverage sack will do. But we can't let them score again.

Cheers!

Collinsworth, as always, does an excellent job with the technical aspects of the game.

I've mentioned before I can pretty much tune out the broadcasters.  Even so, I don't get all the Collinsworth bashing.

Even after the game it was Welker's drop not a bad throw by Brady. It was Branch's fault for not stopping his crossing route when he had 20 yards of open field ahead of him. It was Gronkowski's bum ankle that led to interception not an under thrown ball. Collingsworth and the other chattering heads out there just can't find it in themselves to call it like it is when it comes to Brady. I think all in all he was more than fair to the Giants but his constant slobbering over how super awesome Brady is is beyond annoying. The fact of the matter is that Captain Awesome had a chance to finish the Giants off and he choked but somehow it was everyone else's fault. The kicker to all of this is that after the game when asked how Welker was reacting to his "drop" Brady had the chance to be a man and admit he threw a really bad ball to a wide open receiver instead he made some mealy mouthed comment about how Wes usually makes that catch. Come on man you had him wide open and you threw it high and behind a guy running full speed. As good is Welker is he makes that catch 3 out of 10 times at best. I guess no one wanted to point out the fact that the emperor had no clothes on tonight when it counted.

Although I can't stand Collinsworth, he was in his "wheelhouse" tonight in precisely describing (and predicting) what the Giants had to do. They HAD to get the ball to Manningham, because the Pats were taking away Cruz and Nicks (to the extent anyone can take away Nicks, which I believe is not possible).  In any event, Eli figured it out, and he got Manningham involved, just in time to save the day.

Collinsworth is a doofus, but no one can criticize the depth of his knowledge about playing wide receiver in the NFL.

No one is knocking his knowledge of the game. He just can't hide his man crush on Brady and frankly its beyond annoying. If you listened to just the audio of the game you'd come away with the impression that Brady played one of the greatest games in the history of the Super Bowl. IMHO he was solid tonight but he made four mistakes tonight that cost his team the game. I'd respect Collingsworth a lot more if he threw some balance in there by pointing out that fact. Yes Brady is great but he doesn't walk on water.
