You got me by a few years Tom, but the younger fans on here don't know how really sweet it is, especially when you do get old and think you may never see another championship. that's what makes this one really sweet.

WWWWAAAAAHHHHHOOOOOOOOO

I'm young, 28.  I wasn't old enough to be a fan or really appreciate 86.  I remember watching 90 and being happy.  I'm a huge student of the game and I KNOW these opportunities don't come around often and am savoring every moment.  Glad I didn't have to live through the dark years of the 60's and 70's, but I make no apologies for when my fandom started.  If this is sweeter for older fans, my hat is off to you because I am on cloud 9.  You deserve it for putting up with 20+ years of non-championship football.  I know I'm spoiled.

Zeph

4 super bowls in 25 years. somehting no other team has done in that span. Maybe we should be a bit spoiled, but Nah, we love it. In fact, we want MORE.

You are correct though, we went thru a 20 some odd year span when we never even made the playoffs, let alone think of a championship. but since that fatefull day in the Meadowlands when Joe P snatched a loss from the jaws of victory, this team has turned everything around. It took a while and we have had a few rough patches in between, but no other organization has won 4 SB in the past 25 years.

We are all thrilled to be Giants fans.

ad to the fact that we are the first Super Bowl winning team to end the regular season with just 9 wins. Just goes to show it don't matter how you get in, as long as you do anything can happen.

You got that right, Lenny. The Seahawks could have won the Super Bowl last year with at 7-9 record. Thems the rules.

First team to win the SB with a 9-7 record
First team to even make it to the SB with a negative point differential
First team to win the SB giving up 400 points

That's why the people who were basing their picks on season stats were sniffing the wrong tree.

The Giants are just a bunch of good guys, owners, GM, head coach and team leaders.  They are deserving and all of them stress teamwork.  Good teamwork.  The right team won.
