I don't get all this sudden love for Mario, up until his big SB catch he was just another #3 WR on this team who was prone to missing assignments and dropping passes and making an occasional big play. Don't get me wrong here I like Mario and I hope we find a way to keep him but I didn't hear all of this love for him until his one big SB catch...

He still is that guy!!!

If, and it is a big IF, the Giants might even consider resigning Plax or Smith, ego's would really have to be put aside. Let's not forget Plax basically said he could not play for TC again and Smith basically slapped Reese in the face by not even coming back to the Giants to match his offer from the Eagles. We have to know Reese will not forget that.
As World Champions, we hold most of the cards. Players now will want to come to play for us as we have that title to offer.

If, and again, a big IF, we were to even consider one over the other, I would go for Plax. he can do a lot more than Smith and we know he is healthy. I think his 'big man in town' days are over, and if he and TC could be in the same locker room, he offers a much great upside than Smith.

That said, I just do not see either of them here. They both had their chance to earn another ring and chose money over team, so screw em now.

Plax burned his bridge.  No way does he play with the Giants again.

We all know the rub on Mario is that he's not the brightest bulb on the tree (isn't he the record holder for lowest Wonderlic score ever?)
That being said, will a team want to grab him as a project as he stumbles through their playbook in year one?  I really think his only chance to be a dominant receiver in this league is with the Giants.  Now, whether his agent cares about him and understands that, is another thing entirely.

It's not the WR's- it's Eli.  Proven by how he has done it with a completely different cast in 2 different Super Bowl years.  It's very much like Peyton in Indy- WR's could rotate in and out of that offense and have big numbers as long as Peyton was the constant.  Same thing for Eli, and that says a lot about how far he's come in this league.

dare I say it, but it might say more about the system than the players. Eli aside, you just fit in a dedcent WR's and off we go.

All hail KG. :ok: :ok: :ok:

since this is a league thats all about money now I doubt that Manninghams agent really cares anything about him except for how much money can be made from him as a client...ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY..
