Interesting. Tampa Bay is a coaches' graveyard at the moment; if Sullivan is patient, he could one day wind up as TC's successor.

OMG, how fickle am I?   A month ago I wanted Fewell gone.  Now, I'm worried he may be gone.

Haven't heard anything about Fewell, GG.

There have been rumors of another team making a run at one of our other offense coaches. Seeing as he's not under contract, I'd guess it would be Gilbride.

I hope everyone on the staff stays.

Look at it this way: Coach Sullivan is going to get the valuable experience as OC that will make him a good candidate to come back and replace TC when that day comes. He couldn't have gotten that experience with the Giants as long as KG is here.

It's bound do happen, to all teams.  I would expect there will be coaches around the league eager to take his place with the Giants.  I have been looking for any news regarding Fewell being offered some interviews but have seen nothing yet.  I'm very curious as to why we never seem to hear of Gillbride getting interviews.  Is it his choice NOT to interview because he's happy with the Giants or is it something else that teams know that we don't.

I mean, isn't it odd that the OC for a two-time superbowl champion isn't getting any offers????

Look arround to see who is after a new head coach,  if you are OC of the superbowl champs you are probably thinking that you should get a HC job.

True Mach, I agree.  Which leads me to the question, as in the Tampa Bay situation, why would they go after a college coach rather than reach out to the OC of the superbowl champs with many years of NFL experience.

I like this way of looking at the situation.   The SB winners coaching personnel are often plundered.   It's what happens.  Every team's success is led by its coaches, so it is natural that they are headhunted.

Age and a failed stint as an NFL HC.

IMHO, they didn't want to wait until after the SB to hire a HC because it would've been a PR nightmare. They already have a reputation of having a less than desirable front office...and their inability to put a coaching staff together IMO supports that reputation.
