They all sound great!  Mines a good crabsalad sandwhich on fresh sourdough. However, the cholesterol and waistline numbers have me spending more time with black bean burgers, portabella, or chicken or turkey sandwhiches with lots of fresh veggies.

Sliced roast pork or fried chicken cutlet (depending on my mood), broccoli rabe in garlic and oil, sharp provolone. On a hero roll. The Best.
Chris, the pork version of that is one of my favorites as well. The more garlic the better.   The chicken version is almost as good, but not quite IMO.

Ham and Muenster on Pumpernickel with tomato. Best if the ham is freshly made and carved from the shank.

My father used to wrap them in tin foil and take them with us duck hunting on Barnegat Bay. We would  toast them on the ole kerosene heater in the duck blind. When I was 10 years old, freezing my butt off in 30 degree weather with wind and spray off the bay, it was the best tasting sandwich ever.

Now I toast em up on the grill at halftime of some football games and dip it in some spicy mustard. Ahhh the memories.

Some folks down here introduced me to the Georgia classic - Vidalia onions with peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich. Now if you are like me, you are probably thinking "that's just wrong." However, you need to try it sometime. It's a pretty amazing combination and actually very good.

Bama, great story about hunting with your dad.  Somehow, under those conditions, the food always tastes extra special.

Vidalia onions with peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich????  That sounds hideous...I need to try one.   8))

Mitch, I love Vidalia onions & I like peanut butter.  I never thought of them together.  I'll have to try that one!  BTW, did you ever have a PB & bacon sandwich?  That's good too.

And, Chris, I love that Thanksgiving sandwich, except I prefer it on a bulky roll & with a glass of ale.  As a matter of fact, that's usually what I have every Thankgiving evening.  mmmmmm =D>

Never tried the PB and bacon. I'll have to give that a go before my next cholesterol test.

Double-roasted red peppers (fired on the grill until black, skinned and seeded, onto a cookie sheet with raised edges on top of extra-virgin olive oil with about two whole heads of garlic  sliced, roasted in the oven at 375 for 20 minutes, turned over with the garlic on top and roasted for 10 minutes more.)  Put in a covered glass bowl covered with plastic wrap and put in the fridge overnight.

A baguette, sliced in half, a layer of peppers, hot capicolla, mortadella, thin-sliced provolone.  Brush the top of the bread with the garlic oil.

It's like eating candy.

I'd pass on the mortadella Chief, but the rest sounds awesome.

Substitute high-quality Genoa salami.  It's still awesome.

Chief, anytime you bring Italian cold cuts to the party, you have me at hello. A good Italian sub is usually what I eat on football Sunday.

Jim, a beer with the post-Thanksgiving sandwich is a must. In regards to the bread, I'd eat it between two pieces of drywall and love it. :)

nygsem, I have been on a cutlet kick lately with that sandwich but I agree the pork is better.

In regards to peanut butter, it's amazing how peanut butter and just about anything tastes good. Of course, you have the Elvis - peanut butter and bananna. Peanut butter and bacon is a great sandwich.

I used to eat peanut butter, celery, and ketchup sandwiches as a kid. They were delicious. At least, I think they were. ;)
