Anyone watch the British TV series Sherlock?
« on: September 23, 2012, 10:38:32 AM »
Season one and two (really each season is like 3 movies) is on Netflix on demand.   If you liked House or the Robert Downey Sherlock Holmes you might find this show pretty good.

It was great. The season 2 cliffhanger is a doozy.

I really wasn't a big fan of Downey's Holmes. Holmes was cerebral, not Bruce Lee.

It's way more House than the Downey remake. That was a terrible movie.

I agree it's much more House and a lot more witty.  Still I didn't dislike the RDJ movies.   Although I think the second movie was much better than the first.    I know there are going to be purest that don't like the idea of Holmes engaging in the martial arts, but frankly I don't think it's that bad especially with cerebral take they have on engaging in hand to hand combat.

Not to change the subject, but I have been watching the British series, "Copper' on BBC whatever. We get it on channel 101 on Cablevision.

This is a series about a detective in the 1860's in NYC. Not too bad. Has anyone else seen it.

Love the show. But it's not actually British. It's a BBC America original series.

Lenn

My wife and I are hooked on Copper.  back to the premise, I have watched the first two Sherlock episodes of season 1 and I am not hooked yet. . .
