Well, at least the Cowboys lost

Bad, bad game by Romo and company.  Almost so bad you wonder how we lost to them.  So Philly sits alone at 3-1 with everyone else 2-2.

So at the end of the first quarter we are 2-2 with only Philly ahead of us, ignoring tiebreakers.

Looking ahead to the 2nd qtr. we have the Browns at home, the Niners in SF, the 'Skins at home and the 'Boys at Jerryworld.  I think we need to go 3-1 in that quarter to be on track.  The good news is that none of these games are evening games.

I REALLY want us to beat the Niners.  If we do we could go 4-0 for the quarter.

4-0 ?!  Are you kidding?  The two wins the Giants have are against teams that are each 1-3.   This team can't beat a good team (yet?) just like last year and is pretty beat up physically.

No, this is the year that the Giants reverse trend and start poorly and finish better.  Still no better than 9-7 though.

One game at a time. Let's beat the Browns this week.

The Cowboys performance last night really magnified my feeling that if we had just taken care of business in week 1, we would feel a lot better about our team at 3-1. We would have a division win and our one loss would have been a tough game against a rival that has our number. Instead we played poorly against a suspect Dallas team and dug ourselves a hole.
I do think a 3-1 stretch is required for this quarter. Need to build momentum and win division games.

The last 4 games of the season are pretty brutal, NO, @ATL; @ Balt (yikes); Philly.  Those back to back road games are killer.
That being said even the middle of the schedule's no cake walk @ Dallas; Pitts; @ Cincy; Bye; GB.

Our boys in blue have their work cut out for them, but one thing I've learned over the past 5 years is they will always make it interesting, just sometimes its in a way we might not like. (see 2008,09,10)

Gotta hope for 4-2 in division every year, so now they have to run the table.

CA, I think the Giants may be thinking the same way you are. That's why Cleveland scares me. No one is thinking about that game right now unless they have already pencilled it in as a win. Thoughts may still be on the last game or looking ahead. I hope everyone gets focused and I'm sure Coughlin is stressing it in practices. Cleveland isn't bad. They just have no one to scare you on Offense, but they are capable of grinding out a win.

Bam!

Beat the Eagles and Cardinals on the road and then come home and lose to the Seahawks.  Go to Dallas and save the season with a huge win and then come home and lose to the Redskins.  Again.

So went the 2011 regular season.

Yes, to some extent this is the nature of the NFL but with this team it's always an adventure.  Going forward, to me the O line is a concern but the key question is will this defense stop relinquishing leads in the 4th quarter??  Will they assert themselves and stop leaning on Eli?

P.S.  And for chrissakes insert Herz for Chase as some others are suggesting!

If Dez Bryant wasn't drug tested immediately after the game last night there needs to be an investigation.

On the last play of the game Tony Romo threw his helmet.  That too was intercepted.

The girls don't scare me they have been blown out in 50% of their games two noncompetitive losses. we were certainly sleepwalking in the first game and if we had any Energy going at all we would've been able to take them.
With Barden taking a step back from his breakout game, the loss of Nicks looms much larger. I think it's time to get a look at Randall and seriously consider bringing Douglas off the practice squad and signing into the roster These r young guys that we don't know what they can and cannot do so let's get them some reps in practice and get them on the field because I think Barden is much to do about nothing. I fear that Nicks knee will dog for the rest of the season. Rich had an astute observation the other day re; Nicks injuries being the result of his RB RAC mentality.
my two cents
