Anyone watch Ray Donovan"
« on: March 10, 2017, 05:31:25 PM »
I think this show is great. The first year it struggled a bit, but since it has been dynamite. I just finished binge watching the last season. There were spots that could have been a bit better,, with Bunch's story-line a bit of a drag,  but overall, just a great show. John Voight is just terrific as the father, who always has a plan.

anyone else watch it?

Yes, I've watched it from the beginning. It's sometimes predictable but usually quite engrossing. I agree, Mickey Donovan, played by Jon Voight is an excellent character, and the highlight of the show for me. Personally the one actor that I feel is most easily replaced would be Liev Schreiber playing the title role. I doubt many would agree with me though, but it's just that I think other actors could play it just as well, if not better. It won't matter much for me anyway since I recently cut the cord and no longer have access to this series.

Maybe, but he is pretty good as that stone face guy.

Where you able to see this past season's shows?  And I fully agree about John Voight. When he first came on, that first season, I wasn't too keen on him, but he really grew into that part and when he is on screen, the show really light's up. Just great supporting cast and great 'villains'.

IN this past year, the arc with Voight and the Indians and the guys from the casino was just terrific.
