The Giants have been pretty impressive in terms of keeping and acquiring talent. I will break down the needed action by position
Quarterback- It's pretty clear Eli Manning is the man and will be the man at least for all of this season. The real question to be learned this year will be if last season's decline was due to age or was due to a lack of talent around him. As for a backup, it seems the Giants could be content to ride with Josh Johnson and Geno Smith fighting it out as Eli's backup. While the Giants drafting a QB wouldn't be a surprise, I think the quality of the draft class will make such a move unlikely.
Running Back- Paul Perkins and his 4.1 yd/carry average shows the team has their starting RB. Behind him, they have fan/beat writer favorite Darkwa and 3rd down specialist Vereen. With the RB draft class being plentiful one would expect to see the Giants draft a companion for Perkins. However with many other draft needs/wants/could use drafting a RB isn't a sure thing. Ellison fills the need if the Giants want to use a FB next season.
Wide Receiver- If there is one area where the team has it's work completed it's at WR. With OBJ, Marshal and Shepard as their top 3 and sophomores Lewis and King behind them, this position is set
Tight End- The Giants have a top three of blocking TE Ellison, promising rookie TE Adams and Will Tye (who seemed to regress a bit from a promising rookie season) the team could stand pat. I suspect the only way the team adds a TE is if the talent falling to them is too great to pass (with this TE class that's a real possibility).
Offensive Line- This is perhaps the biggest enigma on the Giants roster. You have 6 players who have been starters in Flowers, Hart, Fluker, Jerry, Richburg and Pugh. Yet none of them seem to be ideally suited for the LT position. Pugh may be best suited but the beat writers seem to think it's unlikely he is moved from LG to LT. Pugh is solid at LG and Richburg is solid at center (and Brett Jones provides a nice backup C/G). Now if Pugh was moved over to LT, Jones might be the best option at LG as he has the mobility the team looks for in their LG. On the right side you have a mix and match. Hart seems to be a solid backup RT but needs to get stronger if he wants to be a successful starter. Pugh has been a starting RT and RG and if he loses a bit of weight could play RT pretty well. Jerry has shown to be a starting caliber blocking RG but a less than ideal run blocking RG. To add to the mix is Mike Bowie who if healthy could be another competitor for a backup role and maybe even a starting role. If the team were to draft an offense lineman, I would think it would be in the first round with Bolles or Ramcyzk or maybe round two with Dion Dawkins. Those are the only 3 I could see being a guy who could start at LT and allow the line to really improve. Of course, if the team moved Pugh to LT then a mobile LG could be a target (Lamp would be a nice choice).
Now we will move on to the defense. Oddly enough despite all that was spent and the Giants holding on to JPP this unit still has some significant work to do.
Defensive Line- With all the money spent on the line you have 3 top starters in JPP and Vernon on the ends and Snacks manning the 1 tech. The biggest starter whole is at 3 tech. Now I have looked over the remaining 3 tech DTs and I wouldn't rule out the team signing on an older veteran and I wouldn't even be shocked if they re-sign Hankins on an inexpensive prove it deal. Still, regardless of a veteran addition the team would be well served to consider drafting a 3 tech DT in rounds 2-4. There are no really impressive ones to target in round 1 but I could see guys worthy of being drafted in the next 3 rounds. By drafting one this year they could be developed and take over from the older vet or Hankins next season. For the record I am thinking Bromley isn't the answer. I could also see the Giants drafting another pass rusher a talented one falls to them. The amount of snaps Vernon and JPP are taking is unsustainable so having a guy that give them a break would be a major asset (either that or they have to hope O-Diggy surprises or Romeo continues to improve)
Linebacker- This is another challenging situation. As of this writing, the team hasn't secured a proper coverage LB. Last year that role was filled by Robinson. I could see the Giants drafting a LB in the first or second round with the coverage skills needed. It's also possible that Reese will draft a LB with pass rushing skills as it appeared he wanted to do last year with Floyd. The team does have a strong SAM starter in Kennard and team captain and serviceable Will backer in Casillas. The assumption is Goodson will be the pencilled in starter at MIKE. With his concussion history, I think the team needs a strong backup MLB. That could come from the draft or the team could sign a veteran as there are still a few available.
Defensive Backs- The Giants will most likely stand pat at Safety. They have Collins and Thompson as their starters. Behind them is Adams (who did a good job when pressed into a starting role as a rookie) and they have Nat Berhe and even a former starter in Rahim Moore who might succeed in getting his career back on track. At CB the team is set with their top 3. What's missing is the guys after those top 3. I would expect that the Giants will draft a CB in the middle rounds as this draft is chock full of good CBs. He would provide needed depth and would be the eventual replacement for DRC when the team finally parts ways with him. I also wouldn't rule out the team bringing back veteran CB Coty Sensabaugh who played well with the Giants last year
Special teams- The team is pretty set at punter and long snapper with Wing and DeOssie. I sort of expect the Giants to draft one of the roughly 3 kickers worthy of draft consideration or at least sign one after the draft. They do have Aldrick Rosas who has a strong leg and might do well under the Giants coaching. The other position that might be nice to address in the draft or after the draft is a proper return specials as Dwayne Harris has been quite dissappointing in that role.
