Really don't know anything about Blake, but I'm glad Herzy is still a Giant. While he hasn't put up any sort of numbers, he is a better than average ST player and accepts his role well. Glad to have him here for another year.

Antwon Blake - DB - Giants
Giants signed CB Antwon "Valentino" Blake, formerly of the Titans.
Perennially one of the NFL's most-burnt corners, Blake keeps getting chances for reasons unbeknownst. Ideally for the G-Men, he won't make the final 53.

Mark Herzlich - LB - Giants
Giants re-signed LB Mark Herzlich.
Herzlich primarily plays special teams for the G-Men.

Doing a little research on Blake and at first glance, I'd say he's an upgrade of Sensabaugh. But then I wonder why the Steelers let Blake go to sign Sensabaugh...and of course, vice-versa with the Giants. Blake put up pretty good numbers. His stature reminds me a little bit of Donte Deayon. Most likely Blake won't get a lot of playing time ahead of Hall or Wade. But he looks serviceable and easily replaces Sensabaugh

At first glance I thought I read Hall of Fame Wade. I did a double take.

I just loved that.   A new "Toast Patterson" perhaps.

Did John Madden give the nickname of "Toast" to Patterson?

But, Rich, he had a better PFF than Sensabaugh.  Isn't that the be all & and end all of all measures?

Jaime:   It was Parcells that gave Elvis that great nickname.

Yes, you are right Bill and you  beat me to the answer. Parcels gave it to him sort of right before he showed him the door out of the Meadowlands.

Jim, you should be honest, NO ONE EVER has suggested that PFF is anything more than another tool in the box.  Why would you ask such a misleading question that is the opposite of reality?
