Schedule released tomorrow...
« on: April 19, 2017, 10:28:55 AM »
8pm on NFL Network.  Normally one of my favorite days of the year, but with Rangers game, going to be tough to get both.

Home opponents Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions

Away opponents : Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

What I will be looking for:

Opener:  Dallas as usual? Bring em on.
When we play Dallas
Bye week date
West Coast Teams @ Giants Stadium:  Would like to see those at 1PM local time, west coast teams see to have trouble with travelling east for early games.
Tampa game temperature: Would prefer that game not to be in Sept, the heat can be a disadvantage.
@Denver:  For some reason I do not want that to be a night game.
Away Games on West Coast: Are they bunched together?  Are we travelling on a short week?
Preferred 1st half season games: KC, Seattle
Preferred 2nd half games: Detroit, AZ

Hope all our night games are on the road. You can bet on us getting the max this year.

They will have at least 2 home night games and 1 or 2 4:25 starts.

It's a guarantee we will have 1 game against Dallas in primetime and the other at 4 PM.

I have a feeling we will see the maximum number of primetime games coming off an 11-5 year and playing against two divisions that have some attractive matchups.

I would like to see:

-West coast games grouped.
-Early season Thursday night game.
-mid-year bye (everyone wants that).
-Host west coast teams at 1 PM

Regardless, you have to win them no matter what order they are played.

Give us the Eagles for the opener. I am sick of playing the cowukes every season in Dallas as the opener. yes we beat them, but for once, I'd like an 'easier' opponent, if there is one for us.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

This is a tough schedule of opponents.

Geez, I hope not.  I usually sleep through most of the Turkey Night Game!  But better than playing one of the early games, with the potential to ruin the holiday mood, I suppose.  General rule of thumb - Giant football and festive holiday environments don't mix well!

Ehhh, I think every team says this every year. We got some teams home that we needed. There will be injuries. There will be teams who over/underperform.

We should have the mindset that we can beat anyone. If we cant beat them - do we deserve the playoffs anyways?

Thats good, on a short week, and easy trip vs what will be a bad Washington team.  Then a long week to prepare for a real opponent.

Road game, short week, division rival? Not a good thing going for us. These Thursday games are the worst.

Every team has to play a Thursday Night game.  Glad the Giants is when I am off the next day.

Hey, hey!!  Playing Denver in Denver.  Just might have to go to that game.
