Joe- Ive been there, done that. I had a quad in Dec 06. I can guarantee you its not one of life's great experiences but consider the alternative. There is also a reason for the medications your doctors will most likely give you. I didn't want to use some of them. I found out the hard way it was much better to use them. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and you will feel an amazing difference in your health and stamina afterwards. If you need someone to commiserate with I'll be around.

Somarsjoe---all my best to you for a quick and easy recovery.  Hope to see ya again in Albany.   And Ed--my thanks also for keeping us informed.   After all we are all family.

Frank went into surgery late Monday. As of 9PM I was told he was still in the OR.
I'll follow up as soon as I get more information.

I called the hospital this morning and they told me Frank was doing fine. He is in the ICU recovering and may be there longer than a day. That was all I could find out at this time, until his wife calls me.

Cyndi and I are hoping Frank recovers soon, and we look forward to seeing him putting his delicious marinated chicken breasts next to Ed's awesome ribs on the barbecue at the tailgate party in Lot 6!

Dave, he can eat all the ribs he wants now. He's all cleaned out. Frank made it clear that he will be going to camp this year.

I spoke to Frank's wife Jane. She said that Frank is doing very well. The doctors have him sitting up. He had a triple bypass and the surgery took about 41/2 hours. They didn't start until 5:30pm.

I'll call back on Friday or Saturday when I get back from my business trip, which is when Frank is expected to be released. We will send something to the house from all of us when he gets home.

You know I'd send a buck or two just to let him know that he's part of a community here.   More than a few dollars wouldn't be as appropriate as a small amount from a greater number of people.   I remember mailing money for a gift earlier..........count me on board if anyone wants to do the hard work.

I really believe that we are a commnunity of friends and this would substantiate that and let Frank know that we care enuf to write a check and go to the postoffice.   That's what would matter not the amount.
