Probably marginally, but picking Nabers isn't so much about DJ as it is about the next QB.

Will he be better?  Yes, Nabers should provide some nice YAC to bolster DJ's abysmal passing production. Will he magically elevate DJ into the high-volume passer required to compete for SBs in the modern era...NO!

Great, where did the Giants rank in passing yards, passing TDs, and completions?  You know, stats that actually matter to WRs.  @LennG is spot on here.

I love the Nabers pick; after the top 3 QBs came off the board, this was the best option.  Still, the notion Nabers is going to magically evaluate DJ to a top-tier/high-volume passer that's required to win in the modern NFL seems far-fetched.   

And nobody forgot about 2022; we're just not looking at it from a predefined notion in an utter vacuum.  He had a good season relative to his past performances; he did NOT have a good season relative to his contemporaries.  His high rating and QBR were byproducts of being overly conservative, coupled with a really good rushing performance/yards; however, when viewed from a macro perspective (i.e. considering all the data), it was nothing special. After 60 games, I think we all have a good idea of DJ's capabilities...

People that think Belichik is glib and short in the personality department really gonna need a re-think.

BPA for me, within reason. We have too many needs to use a top 50 pick on a RB for example. I also probably wouldn't draft a center, and there is no QB I would take either under any circumstances. I'd probably avoid taking another WR in this round too given we just took one sixth overall. But any of CB, OG, OT, DT, OLB, etc I'd be down with getting the best of. I view CB as perhaps the single biggest need but hardly the only one.

Because I saw him as a pure slot receiver. And we have Robinson for there (and Hyatt and now NABERS if needed)
