 is everyone in the NY-NJ area all right??? [today's earthquake].  From the maps the epicenter appeared to be GIANTS Stadium [I still call it that] - a place which I often call 'the center of the universe.'  As long as no one was injured in this, I will take the tremor as a good omen of the power we will project in the 2024 season.  Best wishes to all.  Stay safe. 

did anyone else hear that Waller would be active for Sunday?   My son picked it up on a website [I don't know where].  We certainly have not thrown much to TE's since he went down.

TE Darren Waller, on injured reserve with a strained hamstring, could start practicing tomorrow.  "Just a matter of them opening up the window and I'll be at practice,'' Waller said.  "Whenever that is I'll be out there.  I'm just waiting the word.''

Starting qb's fall like autumn leaves.  Yet teams put so much $$$$ into them. 

So, would it make sense to hedge the bet and spread the huge qb 1 and mundane qb2 $$$ more evenly between two players:  solid, experienced, dependable qb's, clearly not top 15-18 guys, but good enough to be starters or strong qb2's, rather than on the illusive 'franchise QB,' who, once hurt, like Jones, Burrow, Cousins, Rodgers, etc. usually leaves the team scrambling for someone to fill the position [Vikes seem to have hit the jackpot signing Hobbs, but that's not typical].  It also avoids the angst of selling the farm to draft a qb at the top of the draft, which is just another gamble, and can put you one injury again from misery. Thoughts?

is it possible that the Giants would sign...Colin Kaepernick???
he has offered to sign with any team as their back-up.  Meaning he'd not cost much on a 1 year prove-it deal. 
we surely need a back-up.  DJ may still be out and Taylor is still in the hospital.. DeVito did not shine, even as a qb3.
Colin is what - the same age as Taylor, maybe 1-2 years more or less.  But he's healthy, rested, and a proven top 20 qb in the nfl.

nfl channel report RE: Giants and WR's  says Giants worked out former panthers WR and 'are looking for WR help."

did any of our guys get hurt?  in general what is our injury report?  Banks went out early with 44 as his sub. 

does anyone blame the fiasco on the WR's when the OL was a seive all night? how about looking for anyone who can pass block??   Finally, related to that, we moved the ball on the ground in that first drive....why did we seem to abandon the run at 7-0 and even 14-0????

how tall is he?  listed at 6'2" but standing next to Jones looks more like 6' even, if that.  who has sen him in real life or up close at practice?

PAC 12 is now the PAC 4.  Big ten is pushing two dozen  .

This is the trend, as we move to 4-5 mega-conferences.  As the BIG conferences grow, IMO they will absorb the smaller ones...ACC will poach 'big' east and MAC; more importantly PAC 12 will poach the Mountain West, etc. etc. .  At some point Notre Dame will be in the big 10.

We took a player in this draft from Old Dominion, which is where I got my masters.
Our first ever first round pick from Maryland came this year.  I got my Ph.D. from Maryland.  And yes you can check the thread where I called that pick of Deonte Banks for us the day before!
Our final draft pick in 2023 is named Owens, same as mine.

have you heard this one?   I never did until just now on an nfl channel show about the 1984 draft.

Reggie White had opted to play for the usfl and was part of the supplemental draft.  Parcells wanted him, the Giants took mike zimmerman, guard, whom they traded to Minnesota.  Took someone else in that draft and White ended up on the iggles instead of wearing NY Giants blue. 

Can you imagine those 1980's - 1990's Giants defenses with White there too???
