I don't think of it as what I want them to do, I think of it in terms of what I DON'T want them to do.  There are two things I don't want them to do.  I don't want them to trade up and I don't want them to spend a high draft pick on an offensive lineman.  Anything else and my TV is safe.

In 2023 3 QBs were taken in the 4th round.  Only one played and he threw for 2200 yards.
In 2022 1 QB was taken in the 4th round and in 2 seasons threw for 2000 yards combined.
In 2021 1 QB was taken in the 4th round and he has 135 career passing yards.

Did I misunderstand your statement?  Hyperbole?  Color me confused.

But you're right that nothing changes until (unless) the league starts to make money.  But there is no sign that's going to happen.

Assuming Ice Cube was serious, she had a one time chance to secure her financial future and turned it down.  I hope for her sake she made the the right decision.

Every highly drafted QB that turned out to be a bust had a team that did their homework and loved him.  Just sayin'.
