Believe me you had to live thru those 20 years of just bad football and then achieve this victory. The only thing better at that time was beating the Broncos and winning the SB.

Gosh where to start.

I guess the biggest surprise was Cedric Jones. The Giants and George Young had their eye on 4 guys and he figured to get one of them with the 5th pick. He was taken completely by surprise when all 4 went before we picked. He had to make a pick and it was Jones. He never even knew he was legally blind in one eye.

And if we really want to be surprised, no one was more surprised when Young selected that QB out of Morehead State and fellow by the name of Simms.

IMVHO. They couldn't have done any better than.

 I am still spending most of my free time watching 'The Wire'. I am almost finished with season 3 and it continues to keep me fascinated. Many storylines but one main theme. Should have watched this years ago, but this time is as good as any. Would definitely recommend it, but it is violent, with lots of cursing, sex, and everything else to keep more males glued to the TV.

Like Ed, it took me forever to get this but I did get it in 6. Should had it in 3 but all those wrong guesses.

 Making a trade like that would be, a miracle for the Giants. PLEASE don't get my hopes up.

 Not that being old enough to remember some of these people is great, but the times we lived thru, first with Elvis and then the Beatles, to put it simply, there will never be anything like that ever again. Swift has her millions and millions of fans, but the craziness that surrounded, first Elvis, and then the maniacal fans towards the Beatles. There was nothing, and will ever be anything, to compare with that --- EVER.

Not to change the meaning of this topic, but some of the great 'quotes' and other meanings remind me of things.

As we get older, especially myself, there are times when I just sit back and try and recall the decisions of my life, good or bad, and think how things might have been different if I did something a different way.
You know, shoulda, woulda, and coulda.
But what I do try to do and have tried this my entire life. is no matter how stupid or messed up I might have acted or did, to keep doing that same thing is just ridiculous. As we say, we need to learn from our mistakes and hopefully improve on them. I have tried to live by this. Sometimes it is easy and sometimes, either stupidity, or just plain stubbornness has prevented me from doing this, but over the years, I have learned and I'll be damned if I do those same stupid things again.
