I don't know when the Giants changed the gold to gray, but it's not a striking IMO. Of course, the gold and red looks too much like the Niners. Perhaps that's the reason they dropped it

I guess I'm more of a traditionalist. I love seeing the Detroit Red Wings and the Montreal Canadiens with the same jerseys they wore since the 40's (or earlier). NY Yankee pinstripes are classic. Teams that keep "updating" their jerseys just never seem to settle into any kind of tradition to me and I think they franchise misses out.
How many different iterations of jerseys have the Jacksonville Jags had already? They've been part of the NFL for a relatively short time and they've already "updated" their logo, used at least 3 different helmet designs and more than once restyled their jersey I think.
And if you're the Tennessee Titan, why in the world do you want to wear Houston Oilers uniforms?
But, to each his own I guess.
