I see Neal taking 50% snaps at starting RT with the new guy we signed from Raiders the other 50%. Neal will get plenty of snaps at guard too. If the competition at RT is close, I could see Neals youth and draft slot giving him an edge. But if he is clearly outplayed, he gets to compete to compete for a starting guard spot. I'd love to see him earn a starting spot purely on merit

Nice write up Jolly! Rich mentioned there have been many times we thought we solved the o line fix in the off season and been disappointed.  Once again,  I love the upgrades on paper.  It will be interesting to see where Neal fits

Quote from: Gmo11 on March 14, 2024, 10:24:41 AMI saw one reporter, I forget which one otherwise I'd post the tweet, that said he wouldn't be surprised to see before the end of the season:

LT - Thomas
LG - Neal
C - JMS
RG - Runyan
RT - Eluemunor

I don't hate it if I'm being honest.  I'd prefer Neal pull his head out of his ass and play RT but I'm not exactly confident of that happening so I'd love to see how he does at guard next to our best lineman who might be able to help him out a bit.

I'd be happy with this line up. Id re up Brederson and Phillips for depth as well.

Best looking RT play we've seen in  a looonggg time!

Interesting. Still young and has some experience. Was he a 2nd round pick?  Not a bad pick up.

Quote from: EliWasrobbed on March 11, 2024, 11:09:39 PMi know plenty sir, no need to be a dick.

defensively after the Burns move we are much better.. BUT assuming we don't draft a QB, this will be potentially the worst offense of 21st century football even with our 2 oline additions. Save this post!

Exactly the post that will get you banned. Congrats for making this easy

Looks like a solid move.   I'd like to see him platoon at RG RT in preseason. May the best man win

Man, that looks expensive for good, not great #s. No doubt he improves the D, but is he worth that much?

Quote from: EliWasrobbed on March 11, 2024, 03:58:47 PMAnother overpay by dumb Schoen. Packer fans on twitter say he's average, almost got replaced, but for the Giants he's better than what they have.

Schoen could not be a worse GM if he tried. fully expect him to trade up for JJ McCarthy given his stupid moves so far.

Seriously. The negativity is tiring.  I get we all vent at times. But I come here to chill, talk football, not get burdened with gripes.  I actually really enjoy following the offseason moves every year as the roster reshapes

Love getting a starting guard. But agree those are very average PFF #s

Hey Squib. My wife had the surgery 15 years ago with the set screws to hold things in place, and a cage in-between to grow bone to fuse together. It worked great.  Unfortunately I did not second guess the doctor and she got hooked on pain meds for about 5  years. When she got off the pain meds she was totally fine.
With that said. I would try two things  first that worked amazing for me. "How to treat your own back" by Robin McKenzie.  Takes less than an hour to read.  I threw out my back every year for 25 years.  Once I understood why,it's been over 12 years and have not had an issue since.
The other option is accupuncture. This has worked amazing for me for neck pain.
     Good luck!

Seems logical.  I'd like to see a quality guard in FA and a 2nd or 3rd rd draft pick as well. Ozeez is too unreliable to stay on the field and depth is non existent at edge

WR Rome Odunze
QB J.J. McCarthy

I believe QBs Williams, Maye, and Daniels go in some order 1,2, and 3

I think WR Harrison and WR Nabers go in some order 4 and 5

So who do you take?

All solid options. I like Alt, but that really depends if new o line coach feels Neal is better at guard.  I'd love a QB,but the 4th QB at 6 -You'd better be sold he is an upgrade. At this point, I think it's WR, with o line help in rd 2 and FA. A QB is definitely in play to move back into rd 1 or rd 2.

EliW.    This is exactly what we don't want here.  I noticed it in another thread too.  Please be respectful in your give and take with members.  Thanks.

Great thread Ritch. I'd prefer under 28 and would be ok with paying one of them top money.  Hopefully the results are far better than Solder.  Did we cut Zietler for cap reasons?
