Nabers goes on the field with a warrior mindset. He plays WR like Payton ran the football and finds ways to get the ball and move the ball. He's a scrapper that will fight for the ball...harder than whoever is trying to stop him

We haven't seen the best of DJ. I'm hoping Bricillo can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, and that the two newcomers to the line will gel with the rest of the line

One thing we know...DJ will be out there early and often to work with Nabers so that they will be on the same page

DT Darius Robinson, LB Payton Wilson, DT Braden Fiske, DT Kris Jenkins, CB Max Melton, S Cole Bishop, and (fat chance OG Jacson Powers-Johnson or OT/C/OG Graham Barton)

this is really turning out to be an all-offense draft. I wonder how far down the board before a defensive player is picked

Nabers  :ok:   =D>  =D>  =D>

JJ or no.1 WR...tick, tock, tick, tock.....

I have picture in picture on my TV, so I'll have the Knicks on with the draft going on in the small picture. I can flip them back and forth with a button and when the Giants are on the clock (or a pick is in), I'll make that my big picture. It'll suck if it's the last minute of the game and the Giants pick is coming in. In that case...gotta go with the draft

I think the Sixers take game 3 tonight unless Brunson plays like Brunson. Philadelphia will play angry tonight, and it could get rough...well, even rougher than usual. They've already been very physical, containing Brunson, and it wouldn't surprise me if they try to get him out with an injury. Their whole strategy has been to stop Brunson and he's dogged from the second he's on the court

Going beyond QB vs. WR discussion in first round, is there a couple of players you really have your eye on and hoping we draft tomorrow and Saturday? One choice, a day 2 pick, and one choice, a day 3 pick (can add a sleeper pick)

For me:

Day 2: LB Payton Wilson (NC State)

Day 3: OG Zak Zinter (Michigan)...

(Sleeper pick) if we don't get Zinter, OG/swing-T Walter Rouse (Oklahoma)

Quote from: MightyGiants on Today at 08:46:23 AMThere will certainly be plenty of fuel for the glass-half-empty types.  The Giants are likely to pick either one of the two most polarizing QB prospects or neglect the QB issue and draft a WR (albeit a very promising prospect)

I'm just glad we're in position to make that choice. Hate being bad enough to be drafting at no.6, but it beats the hell out of drafting at 17 or 21. The most fun IMHO, is in the top 6 picks this year

Now that I posted it, I see a great big error and will correct it...

I put this together this morning to show the utter disparity between six reputable analysts/services that rank the top 20 players with an emphasis on QBs vs. WRs

Two things stick out to me: 1) Walter Football doesn't follow the crowd, and 2) JJ doesn't get as much love as I thought he would

[FIXED...duh]

Article in this morning's NY Post

The opening statement sounds about right..."The NFL should hire an auctioneer to take commissioner Roger Goodell's place on stage this year..." LOL

The artical just below the one you posted is also interesting. It's Daniel Jeremiah's top 150. His top of the draft:

1) QB Caleb Williams
2) WR Marvin Harrison
3) WR Rome Odunze
4) WR Malik Nabors

5) QB Drake Maye
6) QB Jayden Daniels
7) TE Brock Bowers
8) OT Joe Alt
9) CB Terrion Arnold
10) OT Taliese Fuaga

20) QB JJ McCarthy

I don't think I've ever seen 3 WRs, listed in the top 4 picks in the draft...not in my lifetime
