Quote from: DaveBrown74 on March 14, 2024, 09:19:29 PMCompletely insignificant signing. A body. Maybe he makes the team, maybe he doesn't. Won't have any impact on wins and loses if he does.Cager didn't get a tender offer. Perhaps they want more blocking TE's. Still if Waller stays, who replaces him when he gets hurt.
Quote from: Trench on March 14, 2024, 09:05:50 PMMeaning?....I wonder why after Waller was injured that they didn't target Bellinger more. We were all excited after drafting him and he had a decent rookie season as you said. He's a two way TE and although he lacks the athletic ability of a top TE in the field, I thought he would become an important part of the Offense. Apparently bringing in Waller showed they don't see it that way.
My take - Bellinger had a real good rookie year...then we sign a playmaker Waller (and Bellinger is kinda lost)...then last season he bulls up big time and I'm all excited - and he seems to be rarely targeted. Maybe he can be special TE still?
Quote from: Trench on March 14, 2024, 08:52:37 PMWhat should we make of this?...20 catches....do we read anything into Waller?Unless they need the Cap Space, I would let him decide. They can cut him anytime if his heart isn't in it.
Quote from: Stringer Bell on March 14, 2024, 08:16:45 PMPretty unnecessary response on a legitimate question. Especially for an admin.Pretty unnecessary challenge to an opinion post. Deal with it.
Quote from: Stringer Bell on March 14, 2024, 07:41:57 PMI don't get it. Petty how? 26 has always been Singletary's number, so it's not like he went out of his way to go after it.The vast majority of the Jerseys at Met Life have been 26. If you don't get it, it's not my job to persuade you.
Further, Saquon isn't even among the top 3 RBs in Giants history, so it's not like he's a legend of the franchise. He played for 6 years - great in 2 of them, good in 1, average in 2, hurt for 1. Not the type of career that warrants major rememberance.

Quote from: T200 on March 14, 2024, 08:11:05 AMI'm open to Maye. My buddy follows a lot of college football. He said if he was Schoen, Maye would be his first choice. Daniels would be #2.I think they have to definitely move up for Maye.
Quote from: Bill Brown on March 14, 2024, 06:27:11 AMI've done the ancestry thing and have traced my family back to the 1500s. One of my 3rd cousins is/was Wyatt Earp. His mother was Virginia Ann Cooksey. My grandmother was a Cooksey with a pretty straight shot back to Virginia Ann. A couple of others. One was the guy who bought the Speedwell that was the ship that sailed with the Mayflower but had to turn back a d one guy was the last governor of the Plymouth Colony.I could never go that far back, being from Italy. I did find out that I have 20% connections to the Aegean Islands.
