Excellent performance tonight to cap off a memorable regular season. Just as importantly, everyone is pretty much healthy.

As Ed said, now to the part that matters!

Job done. Home ice advantage throughout.

What a regular season they've had.

Now onto the part that matters.

I wouldn't worry about it, everything I've heard points to The Giants being done with Jones.  Can they draft his replacement??  That is the tricky part, but I don't think anyone in that organization think Jones is the answer let alone a top tier QB.  And that's even before injuries.

I just don't know if there's a way forward right now since picking at 6 won't solve the problem and neither will 2025 from everything I heard.

Great news. Jones is our starting QB and hopefully, with the additions to the Offensive line and a new O-line coach, Jones will finally get protection to make plays. I made a thread before Jermaine Eluemunor was acquired by the Giants saying he would be the perfect fit. If Neal struggles, Jermaine Eluemunor can play RT and he can play at other positions on the line. He also has history with our new coach. This is by all accounts Jones last stand, if he falters then our record will reflect it, and we can move on next year.

Quote from: Jolly Blue Giant on April 15, 2024, 01:57:20 PMApart from the low points: Cuban missile crisis, the Bay of Pigs, the assassination of our President, Martin Luther King Jr., Sen. Robert Kennedy, and Malcolm X, the hippie revolution, rampant drug use (three main musicians died at 27 yrs old - Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison), the Vietnam War and tens of thousands of deaths of our soldiers, the magnitude of protestors burning buildings and creating havoc, kids on college campus getting mowed down by the National Guard, Charles Manson and his horrifying murders, there were some high points

Yankees were in 5 world series during the 60s  :ok:
Roger Maris broke Babe Ruth's record in '61
Man flew to the moon, walked on it, flew home
And yes, the Miracle Mets had a year to remember (I doubt Billy Buckner sees it the same way)  =))

The 60's were a decade like no other in U.S. history

Ric

Those Mets were in the 80s if memory serves. The 69 Mets beat the much-favored Orioles.  Sorry.

From what I hear CBS has apologized (big deal) and is reshowing it on Friday.

Quote from: andrew_nyGiants on April 15, 2024, 06:38:55 PMWell I was thinking that by the trading deadline, most of the guaranteed $$ would be accounted for or could be restructured by the team trading for him.

There are a few thirsty teams out there...so that was my thinking on it.

Fair enough. I don't think so, even if you take the dollars out of it.

Quote from: MightyGiants on April 15, 2024, 02:17:05 PMWaller is still an unknown (at least publicly, the Giants may be keeping it quiet for the draft)

I don't know all that's going on but from a fan's point of view this Hamlet-esque stuff is really ticking me off.
