It may be harsh to say it but I'd like it even less to have a guy whose motivation may be to make up financially what he's losing in the divorce and who is likely to be distracted by the emotional side of going through a divorce than I did about having a guy who just couldn't make up his mind for unspecified reasons.  Now that we know the reason I want them to cut him even more.

I get the part about wanting to be an influencer, it's basically being a con man.  What I don't get are why the influencees are influenced by the influencers.

That sounds disingenuous to me.  Whether or not the coach and general manager have a conviction about something is going to be influenced by what the owner has been saying and by a personal desire to survive, IMO.

But much like a lot of the fan base, Mara I assume was also tantalized by the playoff appearance/victory and was not going to be signing off on dumping Jones at that point.  THAT also would have been a hard sell even if it's exactly the right thing they should have done.

He failed.  Now you HAVE to let me do things my way."  If he can't say that to Mara he should leave the job, if he can say that to Mara and gets ignored...he should leave the job or get fired from it. 

We cannot have ownership getting in the way of things any more.  It's Mara's team, he can do what he wants with it, but if what he wants is to win he needs to stay the hell out of the way.

I am, although there were some foggy months there.  My 2 daughters who live 5 and 15 minutes away from me took magnificent care of me.

Annette Benning.  Ironically I got the crush after seeing her in Open Range when she plays a character who is hardly glamorous.

I'm not a fan of Alec Baldwin by any means - quite the opposite - but he got a modicum of respect from me when I saw this recently.  He showed a lot of restraint, until he didn't.

I had always been a dog person and indulged in stupid speciesist humor like, 'the more times you run over a cat the flatter it gets'.

But after we had been retired for about 5 years, one night at dinner I told my wife that I'd like to have one last pet before my time came.  A dog would just take too much energy with walking and needing someone to take them when we traveled, so putting aside our bias, we decided to get a cat.  We went down to PetCo where they had rescue cats and picked out an orange tabby and about 200 bucks worth of paraphernalia.

I named him Eli.  Interestingly, the people I knew who knew about cats said males made the best pets.  It became pretty evident, after an adjustment period in which he realized just what an improvement his life experienced, that he was 'my' cat, even though my wife was the one who fed him.

I called him a puppy cat because a lot of his behavior was very puppy like.  And he is insanely friendly when people come to my house, including complete strangers.  I have a handyman and a housekeep who come in and do for me and he follows them around and supervises them

His real value as a companion came when my wife passed away unexpectedly in February of 2023.  For a while it was strange as he would walk around as if he was looking for her.  But he got more cuddly with me and it's a rare night when he's not up on the bed sleeping with me.  He's been a real and continuing life-changer.

When helping the poor, leave the camera at home. (the only attribution I could find was Louis XIV, which seems unlikely since cameras hadn't been invented in his lifetime.)

I'm not knocking their perspectives but I don't think it's prevailing. Hell, if they were that attuned, they'd still have jobs, no?
