One of five QB first round picks in 2021 draft
Like has been said on this board before you never now about first round QB.   Lots of hype and sometimes little bang for buck

Quote from: spiderblue43 on March 08, 2024, 03:50:59 PMDaniels weighed in at 210. Agree..he needs to fill out. Major priority but his skill set is terrific.
I thought he skipped weigh in at combine

I was leaning Daniels until I saw him in street clothes the other day.....if he currently weighs more than 190 right now I would be shocked.
He has a very small build and will get
Killed in NFL .....not sure he can handle the beating every QB has to take

Quote from: Ed Vette on February 24, 2024, 07:40:32 AMHe's a big play QB. Always keeping his eyes downfield. He has as close to a Josh Allen/Herbert arm as there is in this Draft Class. He didn't have elite weapons like Daniels or Penix did, but his competition wasn't the best out there. He can hit a Receiver with a small window of Separation, or hit levels with touch, and then miss a wide open Receiver with a WTF throw. He can escape pressure and senses it well and throw on the run with the best of them. His ceiling his high. However, if he was on the 2023 Giants, their inept Oline would have negated his skills, I imagine.
I watch him play a few games.   Good but not great in my opinion....not worth moving up on my opinion

Quote from: Rosehill Jimmy on February 13, 2024, 03:09:48 PMI think it's Schefter ( or one of the other Insiders) who is reporting that the Bears are asking for an "historical haul" for the #1 pick.  In return, Chicago is asking for #6 and  both second rounders in 24; first rounder in 25 and 26 plus Slayton.

Would you make this deal?  I wouldn't
No.  Absolutely not

Quote from: Jolly Blue Giant on February 16, 2024, 12:47:59 PMWeird, I've never heard anything negative said about him from anyone, fans or talking heads  :-??
Certainly not hatred towards him. Must be he's heard from some unknown source that doesn't include Giants fans. Of course, we don't know how his coaches interact with him, but I've heard them shower him with praise.  I'm a bit confused
The four wheeler incident two years ago was not the act of a team player....and not to bright either....on middle of season

Quote from: shadowspinner0 on February 06, 2024, 01:10:07 PMPeople will trash it but after his first year as OC for the Giants, they went from 28th to 13th highest scoring offense, and then up to 6th highest the year after. He was a good OC, just a bad HC. I don't see the problem here.

I agree

San Francisco is in the Super Bowl with a QB that was last pick in his draft class.....more than an elite QB needed to be a consistently winning program.

aside from his mental errors late in games ...... I really like him as player and a person.....good kid

Big Blue Huddle / Re: Giants lose another DC candidate

Quote from: MightyGiants on February 01, 2024, 08:13:21 AMI don't think enough people appreciate that hiring good coaches is a competition among teams.  When you have an accomplished well regarded DC who leaves because he can't stand working for the head coach, your team is at real competitive disadvantage attracting the top talent.

Good point......anybody in house qualified ? That is likely the direction they will have to go at this point.
