Ric, I don't know anything about that but I hope you have a perfect outcome.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: Last minute Drake Maye rumors

I would be elated with Drake "Passage" Maye as long as the Giants don't trade up for him.

I wonder why Ladd McConkey did not make his board on the trade back in round 1 option. If so, it might give us extra picks to be able to get a couple more of those good ones, like DL Friske, TE Sinnott, OT Rosengarten.

If the Giants don't pick Rosengarten, will Schoen say "I never promised you a Rosengarten."?😆

I probably won't change my habits either. I can't give up cake, pies, donuts, pastries, cookies, ice cream. Heck, once in a great while I would eat a whole coconut cream pie in one sitting. Luckily I have been maintaining my weight but I really should lose 30 pounds.

The highly processed food list is much longer than you think. These companies are not our friends.

Ric, Thanks. That's encouraging to hear. I'm glad your surgery was a success.

My three surgeons will be Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard. I'm in good hands. Haha

Chris,

My surgery will be May 6. It will be a laminectomy and a spinal fusion between L3 and L4.

I heard the neurosurgeon and his PA visits patients after surgery so that is comforting to know.

I appreciate the prayers! Thanks!

Chris, I'm sorry to hear what you and your wife went through and are going through.

I am currently scheduled for back surgery. Physical therapy has not really helped and things are gradually getting worse.

My nerve pain extends deeper down my legs now and I can't walk more than ten minutes until my right leg feels pretty numb as nd and I have to sit down. I did a lot of due diligence on my surgeon and I feel good about a positive outcome.

Wowza, Jolly! What a figure!

OK, you guys can post any beauty or nonbeauty past or present.

Marilyn Monroe obviously but I could go for Lauren Bacall.

..could you see yourself in a relationship with?

For me, a young Carol Burnett. She is charming, funny and a nice all around person. She doesn't need jokes to be funny. She has a way of saying and doing things in a funny way.

The Front Porch / Re: what about the 60s

The 60's had it's silly moments too. Remember doing the Freddy? How about Tiny Tim? Then there was bubble gum music like Yummy, yummy, yummy, I got love in my tummy.

The Front Porch / "She is not good enough for him"
March 27, 2024, 11:05:23 AM
Since it's slow here I wonder if this sounds familiar to anyone.

When my mother got engaged, my father's two aunts told my mother she is not good enough for him because she is cross eyed.

When I got engaged to my current wife, my mother told me she is not happy. It was frustrating because I was 38 at the time. Did she want me to risk not finding love just to meet her standards?

My son got engaged last Christmas and my wife is unhappy about his choice. She feels he could do better. There are a number of reasons she feels that way. Whenever she comes over, she is quiet and seems like she doesn't want to be here. She only speaks when spoken to. She is not perfect but she is a good person and they get along well. I'm more open minded than my wife.

The Front Porch / Re: Splurging

I guess my splurge is having newer cars. I'm into my second 3 year lease. We traded my wife's 7 year old CRV for a new CRV last year.

I like the excitement and reliability of a new car. I like not having to deal with mechanics frequently as they often try to BS customers into things they don't need.
