BBH Archive / Re: Rate The Coordinator: Ben McAdoo
December 31, 2015, 12:36:05 PM
I do not think McAdoo should be blamed for the committee of 4 running backs and the lack of success running off tackle. The off tackle run was a Gilbride special before him. I suspect this play comes from TC direction as does the use of Williams his BC favorite. At least the draw play is out of the play book.
McAdoo is limited by the talent and by TC. His system has allowed us to enjoy Eli for 2 years without him being crippled by the OL. My opinion  for the last 2 year. TC has got to go.

BBH Archive / Re: Predict the season
August 20, 2014, 11:20:49 AM
My prediction is 5-11. We could even start off 0-5.

Our prized WR, OB, will be injured most of the year with his hamstring giving intermittent trouble. Most WR do not break out until their third year anyway. He is a mere diversion to the everlasting  hope of Giant fans.

The OL does not look like any of our pick ups are starting material so far, e.g. Schwartz.

Just think, we could have had Lewan playing for us right now. Only needed one more loss last year in those meaningless year end games. As a loyal Giants fan looking to the future, I had hoped for such. So we will pay with more losses this year. Not that Lewan would have turned us completely around, but it would have started us on the right track to improving the team. It all starts with the OL The big question is: can our leaders draft us back into a good team.

I am still hopeful that we will see a few good developments for the team this season.

I have been following the discussion on Newton and have nothing to add about these pros and cons. But let me throw out a possibly whacky thought. A team drafts him as QB and lets him sit as the third qb for several years, or if he is a complete flop at this position, use him as a RB. Let him be a third down back while he learns QB. He looks like a great runner as opposed to D. Russell.

I live in north Jersey in Bergen county. Twenty minutes from the stadium. Transplanted from Queens, NY. Have been a fan since the early 1950s when I used to go to the  Giant games with my dad at Yankee Stadium. Can still remember the DEFENSE chant which I believe was started by Giant fans. Huff at linebacker is unforgetable. The battles with  Jim Brown of Cleveland were classic. I am now retired  from over 30 years as an orthopedic surgeon.  Have 5 children and the three boys are all Giant fans. One has to put up with  the Bear fans in Chicago.
