Re: Waller:  saw a Twitter post discussing this last night -- while being interviewed after the trade, he supposedly told the Giants that he planned to approach the offseason differently this year, acknowledging his injury issues... and trying to adjust things so as to optimize his health/readiness as he got closer to camp/regular season (??).

On the Clock, a four-part ESPN+ Original series produced by Omaha Productions and NFL Films, premieres Monday, April 10, on ESPN2, with episodes available to stream on ESPN+ immediately following their debut.

ESPN announced a new short series this month -- going to have Eli, Peyton and Archie working with 4 of the top QB's in the upcoming draft.

From ESPN:
The show follows four top quarterback prospects throughout their final college football season and into the offseason as they prepare for the NFL Combine, their Pro Days and ultimately the NFL Draft.

Throughout the series, NFL legends Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning evaluate and mentor the future Sunday signal callers ahead of the biggest night of their football lives.

The first two episodes, featuring Alabama's Bryce Young and Tennessee's Hendon Hooker, will debut April 10, starting at 8 p.m. ET, on ESPN2.

Episode 3, featuring Will Levis from Kentucky, will premiere on ESPN2 on Monday, April 17, at 5:30 p.m. ET, following a re-air of Episode 2 at 5 p.m. ET.

Episode 4 will focus on Florida's Anthony Richardson and debut on Monday, April 24, at 8:30 p.m. ET, on ESPN2, following a re-air of Episode 3 at 8 p.m. ET.

Link, with trailer included:  On the Clock.

Looks like it might be fun!

Giants History / Re: Eli Manning appreciation thread
September 22, 2019, 08:05:26 PM
I share all the positive thoughts expressed above, and greatly appreciate all Eli's past contributions -- both on and off the field... and I think we should also recognize how he is still putting the team first, even now at a time when he is being asked to stay on the sidelines.

Several things I've read/seen over the past few days:

-- a story reported by several sources about how Eli, after hearing from Shurmer that Jones was being moved up to QB1, immediately went to the QB's room and began working with Jones to get ready for Tampa Bay (...15+ years as QB1, and he didn't walk out, tweet or complain -- just did the right thing for the team);

-- another story I've seen in several places explains how Eli could retire right now, and still get his full pay for this season (...some strange technicality of the retirement rules for long-tenured players) -- yet, even though his is not getting any extra comp, he's continuing to serve as Jones' mentor (...when a lot of folks would pout, take the money and walk away).

-- finally, seeing him today on the sidelines during the Tampa game, he repeatedly was front-and-center congratulating Jones after he good plays, and reassuring him after the bad -- and, after they won, Eli went up to Jones on the field and seemed genuinely happy for him (...looking more like a proud father, than a displaced ex-starter).

Eli is a class act -- and then, and now!!

Giants History / Re: My thank you to Eli Manning

I did read it all, and think it was an excellent post!

I feel much the same way about Eli -- and, having lived through the entire Phil Simms era, I feel the sense of loss even greater.

I agree it

1)  What part of the Country do you live in?  Fairfield County, CT

2)  How long have you been a Giants fan?  since I was 14 (...I'm currently 58 -- well, for another week, but hanging on to every year!)

3)  What do you do for a living?  have my own 'virtual-COO' consulting practice, working with the the founders of emerging software/tech-based ventures whose businesses have hit a wall -- helping them get their company back on track by strategically assessing current business needs/challenges... and then working hands-on to tactically help get them to their desired 'next level' of growth

4) Anything else you would like to mention about yourself?  Just that I love this Board -- I don't post often, but read every single entry... can't get enough on the Giants!
