My preference is a #1 WR with the first pick. After that I'll leave to JS and Dabs.

Big Blue Huddle / NFT- Caitlin Clark offer
March 27, 2024, 06:56:49 PM
Ice cube has offered to pay her 5 million to play 10 games. The average Big3 player gets 100k to play 10.

Big Blue Huddle / Daboll calling plays
March 27, 2024, 03:57:46 PM
At the owners meeting Dabs said they are still discussing if he will be calling the plays. He said he's done some research and said about 20 head coaches call plays. He made his name on being the play caller in Buffalo. Curious how Kafka feels about it.

Quote from: files58 on March 27, 2024, 11:20:02 AMWhat is Superbox?

The superbox4 is a box that connects to an hdmi port on my TV and gives me around 1200 live TV stations and a video on demand feature for movies and TV shows. I bought it on Amazon for around 300 bucks but now you can get a superbox4 for 222 on Amazon. The drop in price is because now there is a superbox5 but the 4 does all I need.

This is a one time purchase. No monthly fees or any other fees.

I bought it because Kingm26 (Matt) told me about it when people were asking how to get Giants game if they aren't broadcasting in my area. I thought I would pay 300 if I could get the Giants. This box allows me to do that. You can watch any NFL game live you want to see. Even the games that are broadcast on Amazon or peacock are available on the box.

You can also get several HBOs SHOWTIME Cinemax Starz etc.

I use the video on demand feature most of the time. I can get most of the current movies and TV series and almost any movies or series I want to watch I can find. Any show you get on Netflix or Apple I can get on the box.

This is not the perfect solution but is as close as possible. Once in awhile a station my be down for maintenance but if you ask me if I would recommend this box I would say ABSOLUTELY 100%  I LOVE IT.

I still have Hulu and Netflix but only because Louise want to keep them because she is comfortable using them so we keep those services for her but if I was alone the superbox4 would be all I would use.

Just watched Road House with Jake Gyllenhaal. I enjoyed it. I'm guessing most people will compare it to the Patrick Swayze one and can make several comparisons with the two. Basically the same story line but enough differences to hold your attention.

I'm finding myself liking Jake Gyllenhaal more and more.

The NFL has always had a policy that the two teams local stations are allowed to broadcast the games. So if you are in Philadelphia or in the other team's city, the game will be broadcast on those 2 local NBC stations.

This is basically the kickoff rule that was used in one of the spring leagues last year. I thought it was a pretty good way to do the kickoff. Far more kicks will be returned instead of the current fair catch or into the end zone take it out to the 25. And it eliminates the violent collisions that occur when players get to run for 30 or 40 yards before blocking someone. I would prefer this new rule as opposed to eliminating the kickoff altogether in the name of safety.

Quote from: LennG on March 24, 2024, 06:50:54 PMSo it's more movies.

"The Holdovers' an Academy Award nominee for Best Picture starring the great Paul Giamatti. I was looking forward to when this movie would start streaming and it became available a few days before the Oscars. We watched it a few days after that and I loved it. It is sort of a comedy-drama with a great story, a fantastic performance by Mr. Giamatti, and just a great watch all around.
Quickly, Mr. Giamatti is an old, stuffed shirt of a teacher at a boy's academy. It is Christmas break and several of the students have nowhere to go so they are to stay at the academy. Mr. Giammati is alone with also nowhere to go so he takes on the task of watching over these boys for the 2-week break. The story is about his relationship with one boy in particular and we got into the premises right away and the movie just flowed with comedy and heart-tugging scenes. I would heartily recommend this movie. No killing, no sex, but an enjoyable watch.

The next movie we watched last night. " Moving On" is another movie myself and my wife have been meaning to watch for some time and we finally did. Movie stars two of the greats, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. We liked this movie a lot, maybe because of the great chemistry between the two lady stars as they really seemed to get along perfectly.
Quickly, both ladies are widows and when a close friend dies they go to the funeral. Ms. Fonda has a grudge against the deceased friend's husband and wants to kill him. Ms. Tomlin is sort of a free spirit but after circumstances wants to join Ms. Fonda in doing away with said husband. Remember this is a comedy so some of the things that happen are very funny with a few sort of drama points thrown in. Just watching these two greats of the screen and of comedy, was a thrill, as both are nearing the point of not doing many more movies. If you want some light entertainment this would be a good watch. I would recommend it.

I agree with you about "The Holdovers"  I thought it was very good.

Ed. Are you still watching this? We have watched 4 episodes so far and really enjoy it. Miss Zott is a very unique lady.

Aaron Jones. Played very well in the last five or so games last year. GB released him after signing J Jacob's.

Quote from: Sem on March 15, 2024, 11:28:23 AM@Bill Brown do you know what the differences are between the SB4 and SB5?

Not really sure. I asked my son in law about the 5 (he also bought a 4 after seeing mine) and I believe he said more storage and maybe faster processor. He said it wouldn't help us. I'm sure you can get to Google and use the internet but I've never played with that feature. Again  the reason I bought this box was to get Giants games. Everything else is gravy. The video on demand is where I make the most use of it. I am just finishing the 10 part Dynasty series about the Patriots run that was put out by Apple.

When I went to Amazon to get this box they were selling superbox4 and superbox3. Now they show 4 and 5s but the 4s are almost gone today.
