Nice film breakdown emphasizing the sub-optimal competition they faced as they head into Niner's Nation and an excellent D-Line and front 7. Featuring Center JMS, RG Marcus MCKethan in his first NFL start, and LT Josh Ezeudu in his first start at Tackle.

You could see the shift in energy and confidence. Shake the dust. Let's see if the Giants can sustain the confidence going to San Francisco. Here's to second half Jones and company!

Big Blue Huddle / Baldy’s Right. It’s a stupid rule.
September 15, 2023, 09:52:16 AM
They should get the ball back at the point it left his hand or where the player went out.

It's an advanced level of X's and O's and not for everyone but detail oriented fans but it's a great illustration of how a good Oline executes and how plays are drawn up and all the options involved.

As you all know this was Anthony Richardson's first NFL start and he goes through the thought process of this young QB, who seems to have a lot of promise.

For the critics, here is his resume. Those who can't, teach. And those who can't teach, post on Bulletin Boards.

"John Thomas O'Sullivan (born August 25, 1979) is an American former professional gridiron football quarterback who played nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL), two seasons in NFL Europe and one season in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for UC Davis, where he was a three-year starter and threw for career totals of 10,745 yards and 96 touchdowns. He was named a First-team All-American in 2000 and a Second-team All-American in 2001. He was inducted into the Cal Aggie Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008." Wiki

Big Blue Huddle / In Retrospect
September 13, 2023, 11:05:18 AM
In the 2021 draft, the Giants traded out for a 2022 First Round pick. Right after, Dallas selects Micah Parsons whom I coveted so much. Then they select Toney. They passed on Slater and Tucker.

Would you still have passed on Parsons and or Slater and Tucker?

How would that change have effected the team today. We know Waller might not be on the team as a result.

Big Blue Huddle / The Word is out!

Stunt and Blitz the Giants because their Offensive Line can't defeat it and Daniel Jones becomes a deer in the headlights, and is completely thrown off his game.

They better find an answer, otherwise this is going to be a long #ucking Season.

As long as there isn't lightning, there shouldn't be any delays but it looks to be a sloppy game. Hope for clean snaps and tight grips.

1. Giant step again? – The Giants made big waves around the league last year under Brian Dabbol as not only a tough, gritty team that can compete, but they took it a few steps further by advancing to the playoffs and winning a road game in Minnesota, before losing to the Eagles in the Divisional round. So what's next for the Giants? Do they continue to build or falter under the now enhanced expectations? We're all about to find out but the Giants have made some key additions in the offseason to ensure they stay in the upward direction... more>

It's horrible what Eli was given as a supporting team at the end of his career. Even on Defense, I would only name a handful.

Big Blue Huddle / 2022 vs 2023 Comparing Rosters
August 31, 2023, 09:24:25 AM
QB- 2023 Daniel Jones in the second year of a new system as he made strides in improving his pocket awareness and ability to read the field.

Tyrod Taylor has been seen as having a role in the development of Jones.

DeVito is a PS player who may eventually develop.

RB- 2023 Barkley a year healthier. Grey drafted as a backup and ST player.

Tight End- 2023 Waller comes in from a trade as a serious weapon. Berlinger healthy and a year of development.

Receivers- 2023 This may be the largest area of improvement. The addition of Hyatt and Campbell adds speed to the unit with Slayton coming off his best season.. Second-year for Robinson and Hodgins in the system. Shep back healthy and Beasley on the PS.

Offensive Line- 2023 improvement in Evan Neal, Ezeudu and Bredeson. Drafted a high quality starting Center. Depth slightly better that includes the PS players.

Defensive Tackles and Defensive Ends- 2023 Signed and drafted three Players who are significantly better as Starters and Rotational Players

Edge/Defensive Ends- 2023 Second year for Thibs, a healthy Ojulari and a trade for The Boogie Man.

Inside Linebackers- 2023 The acquisition of Bobby O, the improvement of McFadden and the trade for Simmons makes this the best group in over a decade.

Defensive Backs- 2023 Solid Draft of two starting CB's now brings three good CB's to this group. McCloud is moving back to Corner because of the strong Safety Squad. Still untested but going in, this is a much stronger group.

Special Teams, uncertain.

Anyone think any Squad regressed or where the 2022 team was better?

in the backups? They got snaps at every possible combination to the detriment of continuity and combo blocks as Bobby Skinner said in their podcast.

It's getting late and I would hope the rotation ends as they prepare for Dallas.

We know Neal looks to have improved but until he shows consistency, he's a developing starter. I would be surprised if JMS didn't have any growing pains. That said, do any of the backups make you feel warm and cozy?

Lemieux may be the best of the bunch. Matt Peart was horrible in pass protection. I have no confidence in Cunningham and just ask Tommy DiVito how those backups affected his game.

I think Daboll knows his best lineup when injuries hit the interior line, will be moving players. Especially in the case of the Center or RT going down.
