Thanks, Lou.

I know you cruise and if you ever were thinking of doing something with just magnificent scenery, do a Norway Fiords cruise or an Artic cruise.
We have done Alaska 3 times and that is also wonderful. but it doesn't get into mountains and Fiords as something like this.

For some of you 'older' folks. does Stroud get to inherit the nickname 'The Mad Bomber' from Daryl Lomonica?

He sure loves to air it out.

I wonder how that game might have played out if it were in Miami.

That is what home-field advantage means, not playing in a dome, but if you are a cold-weather team, then the cold weather is to your advantage.

Same as our Giants in the Parcels days, when come December and January, we needed a strong defense and a powerful running game.

From Iceland, we cruised to Greenland but unfortunately, the main port of Nuuk was canceled due to high seas. We did dock at another city (well, I would hardly call it a city) and personally, I don't see why we did. A very uninspired place with little to do other than roam around a sort of village. The next day we did get to cruise into a magnificent Fiord of Greenland and we had spectacular weather for this. Yes a bit chilly, but blue sky and extraordinary scenery.

This is the village we cruised into--

Our start into the Fiord

Quote from: Jolly Blue Giant on January 13, 2024, 12:42:28 PMLenn, have you watched Reacher 2? (Prime)

It has run alongside Fargo, which I am now going to start. Reacher 2 is 8 episodes, 7 of them are up and the finale is this Thursday. I haven't heard you talk (seen you write, lol) about Reacher at all and it's one of the best series on TV. If you haven't ever watched it, start with Reacher 1 of course, then delve into 2. It's not the movies with Tom Cruise - that confuses some people

Ric

I did watch the first season of Reacher and liked it a lot. I fully intend to watch this new season as soon as all the episodes are dropped. My problem and I won't go into how it came about, Reacher is on Prime and I have Prime but only on my upstairs Fire Stick. So I can watch it upstairs, but not if my wife is around there. Again, it is a complicated story which I rather not go into, but I will watch it.

I am caught up on Fargo. I am waiting for Tuesday for the finale. I sort of times it wrong as I thought there were only 8 episodes when there were 10. So by watching 1 a day for a week or so, I would be at the finales just in time. So the 10 episodes screwed that up. It has been a truly great season and the anticipation for the finale is great. You won't be disappointed.

It's not the game itself that was the cause of this postponement, it was the fact that 60-70,000 fans would have to be out on the roads during it. Is THAT what you want?
Where the reference to 'soft' players is so far out of there.

I finished Justified last night and was completely satisfied with the entire run. I would recommend this series to one and all.
I don't know who or how many watched Justified when it was originally on, but I sure don't remember all these killings in any of the seasons.

And to think Boyd is back on his way, probably onto next season, well I can't wait.

I, also love 'Curb'. I did find it got a bit off track in the last couple of seasons. I was always disappointed Larry never got back with his wife and still feel LeRoy's character is a bit too much for me many times. That said, and you are correct, it sure is funny.

Quote from: Ed Vette on January 12, 2024, 12:41:21 PMI was thinking about number two.

I read this and yes, the Pats probably didn't comply, but isn't the rule an effort for teams to hire minority people, so what's the problem here? They skipped a few interviews and hired a minority guy. Why make a sham of the rule when you are already complying with it's intent?
