There's been a lot of clamoring for more speed at the wideout position during the past few seasons. Curious why the Giants lost interest in Ross. Did he just get hurt or were there other factors?

At some point in time "game manager" became a pejorative. The term means different things to different people, especially when it's used to support an agenda.

The term "game manager" is also regularly used interchangeably or as a more critical term for "system quarterback."

This bugs me...but not nearly as much as how the term "elite" is regularly abused and tossed about cavalierly when applied to quarterbacks.

The Leonard Williams discussions that have been circulating lately have me thinking. Is it just my imagination that high priced free agents typically are overpaid for the degree of production they provide? Occasionally you get a situation like Plaxico Burress or Kareem McKenzie, but most often they disappoint somewhat. When you pay top dollar, I think you expect more than simply "solidifying the position." Golladay is the latest, but I remember Kenny Holmes, Olivier Vernon, Brandon Myers, and a bunch of others.  Maybe I'm just rambling. Lol.
