Yeah, I know it was a rough year for Bass right from the get-go. He started out with some soft tissue damage in his leg. When that to calm down, he got a bad burner in his neck, that he basically had to play with for the remainder of the season. in addition to this, a separate injury which I am guessing
Here but I'm guessing it was his ankle (?). Well this physical difficulty was compounded by Baas's struggle to pick up the OL assignments that he was to have been providing to the G,s & T's. I recall Dhiel while @ G , coaching up Baas at center with the line calls at the line of scrimmage. Somehow Baas pulled it all together health wise & Assignment wise enabling him to do the job @ C.
Tough 1st year, but he made it though & we won the Lombardi Trophy.

I don't think Baas has played better then that Super Bowl stretch run either before that run or since that championship game. Real curious to see what he's got in store for us this year?

Moore is also similar in to Tuck in that, he plays the run and pass equally well. That's a rare find for a DE days. But JR seems to have found a diamond in the rough here. Let's see if he flourishes under the tutelage of our staff? I'm sure Moore is already hard at work in the weight room adding muscle mass onto that 6 foot five 250 pound lanky frame of his.

I believe Baas to be somewhat of a disappointment. I'm in the same camp as todge here. Baas's injuries have consistently held him back from being the $5 Mil per C we r paying for.
I would look for an upgrade at C by 2014.
Hopefully Bass can provide us with a relatively injury free season for 2013?
I recall some discussion, maybe two years ago? Regarding Snee moving to C to finish out his career. I think that window has closed already.

All good stuff mentioned. I especially agree that the caps are better than the Bruins. This series is ours for the taking we got to go out and take it.
Did you guys get a load of Moore's end to end rush when he faked a shot & skated behind the goal? I think this kid is a weapon that we need to unleash a little bit here.
If Nash could step up his game a bit & toss in a few goals, he could be the difference maker for us. But he has yet to make that step, and after eight games I'm wondering if he can?
Hank actually scored on himself last night. He'll tighten up his game I have no doubt that.
We need to keep directing play at the three rookie defenseman.
Very questionable penalty call vs. Pyatt. Pyatt turned sideways @ contact & the Bruin ducked into the hit.

I believe our staff will make something out of this kid.

Newsflash! Wade Redden is an injury scratch for the Bruins tonight.*! Would've liked to gone up against him.  Bruins are playing three and inexperienced defensemen tonight. Got to exploit them by throwing the puck to their corner of the ice.

blue, very kool! Must've been exciting to be close to the action.
Newton looked good in that commercial with the little kid emulating him. But he didn't look so good after we opened up a can of whoop ass on him during his first national TV exposure.
All part of the growth curve.

Guessing Stadium data would suggest average age demographic is 45?
I'm 57, so I would be inclined towards Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Phil Collins, & Van Halen for some hot 15 second bites.
Enjoy the tunes.

johnst, don't know re; down two - zip data. But i do know that is the 1st time the Rangers won a 7th game on the road.
The hit on McDoughna by OV was clearly a Penalty that wasn't called??????
McDoungha's face looked like he was in a Prizefight after the game.
Clowe is the answer, but I think he's done as a Ranger. Krieder is a big body that can fill some of Clowe's role. As mentioned, this is where we need McIlrath to answer the call.
There is another Ranger Prospect in the same ilk as McIlrath. French Canadian Samuel Noreau.
Same size, same game, & improving his O skills. He's another enforcer type D that we currently don't have on the Roster.

Steve, looks like it's just u & me buddy, heading up the Torts must go Camp... ;)
Thinking Brassard has tied or set the record for most points in a series?

files, check out my post on this topic May 13, 2013 07:01:59 (some insight)
agree, Krieder lost his check just prior to his assist on Asham's goal. Just that the kid isn't gonna learn how to backcheck an NHL Player in Hartford. I'll role with his learning curve.
Brassard & Hank got us past the Caps.

Congradulations  to Torts, Staff, &Roster for never done before,  away 7th game Win.
I guess Hank could still play better if he shuts out the Bruins for a sweep?
