I won't know until the all 22 tape is available. I have seen multiple tweets that guys are open tho.  I know we had Hyatt streaking opened and settled for another check-down.

Just because a receiver doesn't have 5 steps on a defender doesn't mean he's not open.  Jones has to take some shots here put the ball in a tight space.  Stop playing scared and looking to check down.

Quote from: Jclayton92 on October 02, 2023, 09:59:49 PMIt's the NFL, guys aren't just open unless it's a busted coverage. Most guys are covered every play, it's why Qbs are paid so much to get the ball into tight windows.

Thank you

The "nobody is ever open" argument is getting really tedious. People who say that define "open" as nobody within 5 yards of the guy. That's not how it works in this league. Sure - those situations do happen, but there are tons of completed passes every Sunday where that's not the case. Try watching other teams' offenses for a few series if you disagree.

Giants have three potential wins in the future: Commanders, Jets, and Raiders.

Can't tell until the coaches film. I have to think there are at least some opportunities out there. If all those routes aren't open, it's an even larger problem.

Jones Simply doesn't make those anticipatory throws into tight windows that you see Mahomes in Herbert make; most of Jones throws are simple crossing, post or like routes.  It's just not his game; it's never been his game.

Could just watch this game and look at a couple of Metcalf's catches

Jones is who he is. You all should know that by now. When he has Barkley back there he is more than competent. Otherwise if you put it on him just don't expect much.

Think they have a better shot against New England than the Jets. The other two I agree with.
