They weren't specific about the injury to his toe during the telecast but if Ezeudu has grade 3 or 4 turf toe he's done for the regular season as that requires surgical repair. It would make sense if they're adding lineman that he might be headed to the IR.
Pugh is on the practice squad? Was it me or should he be starting next week?

They can elevate him two more times. They just signed two players who must be on the 53. They IR'd Ezeudu. They need to make space for one more player in two weeks make room for Pugh if they need him.
Can they cut Dimes to make room for an OL =))
I would hope they are negotiating a contract for Pugh at this time.

That is a risk. There is a shortage of capable offensive linemen. While on the PS, Pugh is free to sign with any team in the NFL looking for a solid veteran guard with position versatility and leadership.
if someone tries to poach Pugh, can't we counter by elevating him????? Yes we'd have to cut or IR someone, but several come to mind.
Pugh is signed, its a done deal.

It was a case of good news/bad news.
The good news is that Pugh showed he had something left in the tank. The bad news is that it likely cost the team more than vet minimum to sign him

Nothing to define. Most people did not even want to try the guy because of his age and questioned what he had left.
Yet he waltzed in off the couch and played pretty well - especially in the 3nd half - in a foreign position against a top tier line - without knowing snap counts.
I think it's fair to say Schoen swung and missed on his assessment of Pugh when he decided not to sign him in offseason to bolster our line
