BBH Archive / Re: Pick your New Head Coach
January 06, 2016, 02:54:24 PM
As long as we don't give up a draft pick to get a coach, which I think is stupid when you draft at #10!

They could give Spoags the HC job and keep Mc Adoo and move forward.

More than anything this team needs defense.

Again,I think it would be stupid to give up a draft choice or draft choices for a Coach.

MightyGiants  if the idea going into the draft is to get better as a run stopping defense, the Giants would do well to forget Austin.
I doubt seriously that Austin factors into our plans in any major way.

Ceri nice job!  I hope we get a couple DT's who can help us immediately.

MIGHTYGIANTS  The thought has occurred to more than a few people that the father influenced The DA and it trickled down to the lead Detective.

I suspect at some point that question will HAVE to be answered.  Just a personal observation here Zimmerman is a creepy dude.

JimboWHO  He caused the confrontation because he should not have been anywhere near the kid after reporting a "suspicious person".

Try reading the lead Detective's report and also consider that very same detective did not believe much of Zimmerman's story.

The Detective wanted to arrest Zimmerman but was backed off by The Florida DA for some reason as yet not detailed.

Thomas Jefferson would be my choice.

As an aside our first International War was The Barbary Wars.  Guess who good people?  Yep, our old buddies the Arab Jihadist were killing our sailors and looting our ships and a spineless Congress was paying a bounty the Arabs, until Jefferson took over and created a powerful Navy.

He then loaded the ships with Marines and they sailed over to Algeria, Tunis, Morocco, and Libya and kicked total butt.

Jefferson also had read The koran and told everyone this was a violent murderous religion and America had better be on guard.

I know this case seems complicated at first look but my view, based on my read of the Stand Your Ground Law should not prevent Zimmerman from being found guilty.

1) Zimmerman pursued this kid even though a Police Dispatcher told him to back off.

2) Zimmerman was also told by the same dispatcher the Police would be there in 2 minutes or so.

3) Zimmerman caused the confrontation to occur.  As the lead investigating Detective said "this was completely avoidable".

4) Zimmerman is in no way connected with Law Enforcement.

5) Neighborhood Watch people were mandated not to carry weapons.

Also, I know many people want to make this a Racial situation, but I think it is a non issue based on the facts.  Legally Zimmeman did not have the legal right to pursue this kid.

Terrymeisner and Chris thanks for the links.

terrymeisner  I did not see that report could you please forward the link.

Also, I think being quite honest many college students have smoked at one time or another.  m not excusing the behavior if he in fact was using MJ, however if he is no longer making poor decisions, then a second chance should be afforded him.

The type player I would be concerned with greatly would be one that was using since high school or prior to.  The latter player exhibits a pattern.

JR says the kid has been checked out thoroughly, thus until further notice I think we say welcome aboard and lets get down to some hard work.

The image of De sea Jackson taunting us in our own ballpark and running parallel to the goal line should be more than enough incentive to make Special Teams a major priority.

It appears JR did just that.

vette  JR and the rest of The Giant brain trust have been incessant about the need to get faster.  I have a feeling they know exactly what they are doing and so far all indications are we have very good potential with our first 3 picks.

madbadger  when, where and what David Tyree (drug dealing), I was not aware!

I think sometime very soon we will be very happy we got this guy.

Also, we can address OL in later rounds and Free Agency.  As much as some are exceedingly concerned about OL Will Beatty the games he played before we started O'Hara after being out all season, did a very decent Job.  Yes, he had some penalties but as he settles into the position I believe he will be fine.

I am hoping we can land Bruce Carter.  GO BIG BLUE!

Wilkerson is not a guy who is capable of staying on the field as by now we should recognize.
Dillard seems to posses pretty good speed from what I see on film but i think Fewell will adapt his schemes to fit the personnel.
