I still have nightmares about that.
We were the best team about that season.
I really thought the repeat was on.

I think I'm right in saying we'd beaten all four teams who played in the Championship games during the regular season?

The best player available.
Draft the player, not the position.

Quote from: EliWasrobbed on March 11, 2024, 07:51:14 PMIf Burns is a complimentary edge guy being paid as 2nd best DLine men, what does that make Kayvon?

Schoen is awful at contracts.
It makes Kayvon a guy with three more years on a rookie deal.

Quote from: uconnjack8 on March 11, 2024, 07:00:14 PMThat has sort of a Olivier Vernon vibe.
About the same age as OV was.
But, IMHO, this move places as much pressure on Thibs as anyone.
Burns is a complimentary edge guy.....have we overpaid for a number two edge?
Maybe. Time will tell.

Looking on from a long way away, this smells bad.
Is Shanahan the annointed golden child who needs a scapegoat for the third blown Superbowl in which he's been involved?

Mahomes needs to realise the game he's in.
Situational.....don't hurt your D.

Quote from: JT39 on February 11, 2024, 05:34:47 PMThanks everyone. Small obstacles in life make you stronger. Luckily my family is having like ramen noodles and salad haha!
Sounds healthy.

Anyway, here in Scotland kick off is 1130 so it's nibbles primarily this late.
In the UK sports food is primarily savoury pies, a couple will go in the oven end of Q1 for half time.

All good thoughts Bud.

I loved Shockey at the time,  but defo a me first rather than team first guy.
I recall a game......may have been Philli?.....he lost his helmet in the course of making a catch.
On making the catch, he turned infield, helmetless,  looking for yards and contact.
In the heat of battle,  I loved it.
When the dust settled.....I thought, daft boy.
I remember the carry on at 42 when he was heading around the sideline on crutches, I'm now happy our TE was Kevin Boss rather than Shockey in that game.
I bear the lad no ill will, but he could have made more of his career had he matured earlier.

I think on one level, yes, the shark has been jumped.
But I guess as long as there is a sports fan on the planet ain't invested some of their personal disposable in the game, there's still potential for growth.
This year it's the Swifties.....next year, who knows?

Big Blue Huddle / Re: NGT: Dallas hires Zimmer as DC

Yeah, that's a good hire.
I guess experienced guys with HC experience will be tempted by a co-ordinator gig at the Cowbooys as, if they make a decent fist of it, when Jerrah finally gets trigger happy and fires McCarthy, they'll be in the frame.
