Leonard Taylor going from five star recruit to not drafted yet has my head spinning as he seems like an interesting mid-round choicd plus fills a big need at DT.
Giants need more explosiveness at RB as they simply don't have it. I'd love to see them pick up Wright to fill that need.
I don't see any TE worth drafting as none stand out as a hidden gem to me. All are plodders. Would they look to draft Johnny Wilson from Florida State and move him to a role as a pass catching TE? That would seem interesting to me. He's 6'6" and moves well for that size. He's only been catching a ball for a short while so some development needed but I like his foundation.
From what I can devine from the draft so far
1) Offensive linemen of note, are depleted
2) Some top notch WRs still left
3) Only a few RBs of note are left
4) Defensive lineman of note, are depleted
5) Quite a few DBs are still available
6) No love for LBs this year
7) IMO - Schoen is looking for very specific pieces to build the Giants, not necessarily BPA

@PSUBeirut . The disparity among the various rankings is almost comical.
If you value explosiveness and don't mind overstocking a position, why not take Troy Franklin out of Oregon as another WR. Explosive piece. If he's the best out there and if the Eagles were loaded up at WR, they'd still take him. Can't have enough BPA pieces either.

I've wondered the same thing. This draft was bloated with WRs, three of the best in years, and about 30 who would be in the top 100 in any other year. It's almost ridiculous the number of good WRs there are in this draft. Franklin is good, but the two WRs that I really like are
Devontez Walker (NC) and
Ainias Smith (Tex A&M). Smith is a little guy, but plays three positions WR/RB/PR-KR (ST ace and Swiss Army knife and plays like his hair is on fire and even blocks like he thinks he's a lineman...big football heart)
There will be good WRs that go undrafted this year...it's that loaded
A total of 6 picks, this is exactly why I wanted them to trade down. They could've stayed within the top 15, still have an impact WR available and stocked up on picks (and maybe an established Corner).
