Quote from: T200 on December 27, 2023, 08:46:42 AMSo, they're investing draft capital to correct the offensive line issues. Taking into account the other thread's mentions regarding former Giants offensive linemen who are doing well with their new teams, the talent may not be the issue.

When will the line coaching issue be addressed?
Who are the former Giants offensive linemen that are doing well with other teams?

Offensive line coaches have been a revolving door for some time now. With new head coaches every 2 years came new assistant coaches. Joe Judge had several including a big named O line coach from Dallas.

Quote from: TDToomer on December 22, 2023, 09:25:58 AMHow are the Giants overrating their players when the majority of them walk away in free agency 4 years after being drafted? Only pro-bowlers plus Jones got extensions.
They overrate them before drafting or signing them as free agents. After they get here, most don't perform.

Right now, I think the whole team is overrated. There were articles earlier this year that the Giants overrate their players. Maybe they have a few worth keeping, but there's not much of a core here. Questions about the QB and most of the offensive line mean a total rebuild unless one of their QB's prove to be "thee guy". Barkley with his contract situation. Same with Adoree Jackson. Some WR's have potential, but that's about it. A few pieces on defense, but they all get recognition and will be getting old by the time the O line and QB situations settle.

Need to see it from another angle. It looks like he hit DeVito's helmet with his from this angle. You can stop the video and see the possible point of impact, but you can't see if they actually hit. It's much clearer in the paused video in full screen.

Quote from: Arodgers12 on December 13, 2023, 09:23:07 AMYou guys think you'll make the playoffs?
Hell Yeah, at least I do. Many here would rather lose to get a big named college QB tho.

I was ridicules that they split the picture to show both games at the same time throughout the night. I can't imagine how people with smaller sets felt. Why does ESPN screw up everything they do? I had to watch the whole game downstairs because the bedroom TV is only 32".

Quote from: Ed Vette on December 08, 2023, 08:42:44 AMcan you restate using kicking and receiving terms.

Offense in the punting team. Defense is the receiving team.

Tommy, he'll probably have to start the first few games next year too until Jones, you remember him, is ready.

I think you're going to have to give a hint.

Three ways to achieve QB hell:

1. What you pay for him #1. If Eli didn't work out, that would've been QB hell. 2- #1's and dumping your better than average starter. If they kept Rivers and he didn't work out, they had Collins to fall back on, the next year's #1 and other picks.

2. What you pay for him #2. Another way to achieve QB hell is to use a high draft pick every 2 or 3 years and have each one fail. Just ask the Jets.

3. Have the worst offensive line in the NFL over the course of 10 years or so.

I was in kindergarten, we were outside for a fire drill and the teacher told us. I knew the president's name before that day. The only other memory was that it was on TV all weekend.

I know I'm quoting you, but my main motive is to point out to all others that this is poorly researched.

I just feel it's a terrible article. The survey was taken in 2023. The turf was replaced before this season. Are they, or do those 2 players, that feel the turf sucks, talking about the new turf which only a handful of teams have played on, or the older one that was here the past few years? I'm sorry, I just don't find this creditable. No date, anonymous sources, did all the players surveyed play in the NFC east? Was it done with the same number of players from each team?

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on November 21, 2023, 01:00:15 PMIt's 85 players selected from around the league. Not just the Jets and the Giants.

The only questions were "what is the best stadium to play in?" and "what is the worst stadium to play in?"

Arrowhead rated as the best. Met Life rated as the worst (by far). I gave the only commentary from players on our stadium that the article provides.

I provided the link to the article if you want more detail than that. The purpose of the post was just to show that a decent sample size of NFL players selected from the 32 teams believe Met Life is the worst place to play. I don't personally consider that a surprise, but I thought it was noteworthy that it was confirmed by a recent poll.

A sample of whom? Are there the same number of representatives from each team? How many for the Giants/Jets stadium? Rams/Chargers? Are the players allowed to include their own team's home stadium? A player evaluating a stadium based on noise level would likely give his home stadium a good vote and an opponent's a poor rating. A player here and another there stating just his opinion is hardly accurate. Sorry, I guessed I got sucked in by the headline and was disappointed by the quality of it.
